i was planning to do it myself by masking around the edges and using a fine brush for the delicate parts.. but it turns out the place that did my wheel refurb (the wheel specialist) were happy to do it for a bit of $. worked out cheaper to just have them do it rather than buy the paint/sit down for hours

they masked it out and sprayed.. even managed to leave the red border around the chrome intact which I can imagine was a b*tch

definitely prefer the wheels when they show the seat badge!

a quick OCD question...with your roof wrap, where does the wrap stop at each edge? As there is a gulley at each side before the roof meets the side of the car?

in one of your earlier photos it shows your old wrap being all jagged and uneven in this gulley, just wondering where the took it to in the new wrap?

a photo may be easier to describe?

sorry for being OCD, but getting mine wrapped next week!

the wheels have grown on me, i do prefer the seat badge showing now

@NathanR Ill take a closeup picture of the roof wrap tomorrow for you mate - hes taken it to the edge just before it curves up and it looks perfect, you cant tell if its a wrap or a spray job

@gregdaisley I have considered the btcc spoiler but to be honest I actually prefer the new style spoiler which I may get if I ever decide to upgrade to the LED rear lights. in the meantime I may reconsider the btcc spoiler, not too convinced yet hehe

as for lowering the car, thats currently on my todo list - defo going for sportlines over coilies as I dont want it too low :)

thanks for the comments guys

I prefer it better with the SEAT badge, out of interest how did you do it. Just mask round it before spraying, or did you stick new SEAT logos ontop? I'm gonna have the same problem when I refurb my alloys in the near future

Nath came up with a great idea for new centre caps with the lids from coffee jars, with the Seat badges on top! It actually looks really good.

Nice car, good contrast with the black and red. I'm thinking of a black roof to break up the silver a bit. I've always liked red cars, had 3 of them myself. :)

i remember reading something about that.. but had no luck finding it

any chance you could link me to the topic? just for future reference :p

i think a black roof should come as standard on cars - it suits any color and makes it look more aggressive/lower for relatively little $.

thanks @v0id I'd really appreciate that!

hi mate, i tried taking a few closeup pics but for some reason they are coming out really blurry? not sure if its the camera on my phone or if I just suck at taking close pics lol

anyway hopefully you can see it in the image below. the wrap goes to the middle of the bit where it curves up so it gives it a red outline sort of look. you should be able to zoom in i think

oh and the red line in between the windscreen and the roof isnt visible from the front/sides of the car

p.s. car is mega dirty

that's just what I wanted to see - I'm getting mine wrapped next week and just wanted to see where was normal for them to wrap to etc!

I need a new back box for my leon and was considering doing something similar to this. Where did you buy your exhaust from and for how much? is it a cat back or just a back box?

the exhaust i bought from awesomegti, its just the catback. the cupra r splitter i got from a seat dealer.

i got it fitted as well as the splitter painted/fitted at dm keith leeds on thwaite gate. speak to the bodyshop manager, simon duckworth. you can mention the guy with the red leon, hes been very helpful in sorting out all the bits for my car.
