Time for a small update and my first real 'mod' of 2012:

As mentioned a few months ago I had an idea after reading a Reader's Ride thread
on another forum which gave me a similar idea. So I took these:

LEDS.jpg

ItemsUsed.jpg

Drilled a 6mm diameter hole in each of the handles

Then put the Led's into each of the holes. Here is the finshed result:

Still have them to fit back into the car and wire up. But I am still deciding how
to wire them up, to the interior light so they come on when the doors are opened,
to the side/headlights so they are on when either are on or to both the interior
and side/headlights. Any suggestions on this one??

Sorry about the quality of the pictures, they were taken on my phone.

Thats all for now. Hopefully more to follow next week :D!

I like this idea, infact, I might copy you if I find some small ashtray lights, as I don't want to use LEDs :)... And I'd wire them up with the headlights / instrument panel lighting personally.

I got red led's so that they could match in with my dash bulbs etc. Think I will wire them to the headlights as I will only want them on at night etc.

Cant believe this is the first thing Ive done to the car this year and its nearly March

Come on then. Onto the headlight looms they go. How're you going to get them through the doors into the car? Isn't it one big plug?

Erm.... Ive not figured that bit out yet . Im going to take the door cards etc off next week and have a good look as I have the week off. Hopefully I will be able to drill a small hole at the side of the plug bit to get them through.

Not much of an update recently as I havent had the chance to get much done.

Been attempting to get my bonnet lifters on but I am still having issues getting them onto the car properly. And in the process I managed to lose one of the wire clip things that hold them onto the bolt .

Also looking at getting a new pressure washer as I currently dont have a decent one to use. So thinking of getting this one that is currently on offer in Argos after reading alot of good reviews about it online.

That is all for now!

Well over the last few days my exhaust started blowing around the cat section.

Managed to get the garage I used to lift it on a set of ramps for me and it turns out it is the cat section from the manifold until the cat join. Cant even repair the one on the car as it is on the small flexi part of it.

I was quote £180 +vat for the part by the garage I use. I had a look myself on certain places and found a few on ebay for £60-ish quid with 2 year guarentee.... WIN! Cant complain at that! [B)] :funk:.

So that is the next main job for the Ibiza!

Update!!.

A week or 2 ago the small flexi part before the cat had started blowing, the car sounded awesome but the fuel gauge didnt like the hole. The pipe hadnt done bad as it was the same one the car left the factory with :wtf:. So on Monday I had this fitted.

.

This part and the cat fitting kit cost me £65 with a 2 year guarentee whereas I was quoted £180 plus VAT by the garage I use . The part I bought fitted perfect with no issues what-so-ever.

As it was sort of dry tonight I finally got these fitted to the car.

Really like how they suit the car. :D.

Just want peoples opinions on this, do they look like they are in place ok?
Edge2.jpg
.

There is a 2-3mm gap from the rubber to the point where it angles out, I have pushed the metal clips in fully and the wind deflector doesnt seem to go up any further and there is minimal movement so I am assuming it is correct

I guess it's pushed into the rubber?? If it is that should be alright!

Looks good :)
