New gauges arrived in the post today, ordered them from R-Spec.

Got myself a oil temp gauge

and a boost gauge

Don't know if anyone has tried these before but they have a cool white backlight which should suit the LCR dials quite nicely. Haven't decided on what pod to go for, can get some off ebay

Well it was a fairly long day, car transputer arrives at my house at 7am this morning, loaded up the car and was on our way by 7:30. Arrived with bill around 10:30. Big thanks to him and tuffty for being so hospitable, got a few minor things done whilst I was there and had a good chat with them both.

Really looking forward to picking the car up when it is finished!!

Train home wasn't so fun at just over 4 hours but I'm sure that wont be so bad when I go and pick it up.

awesome project you have here mate never looked in here and wow alot of work gone into this same mani as mine but has the 'v' band fittings and external gate unlike mine ,

you just know your car is in good hands with bill just look at his race car you know all his work has been tried and tested and is knowhow of these engines is second to none ill defo be making another trip there soon for more mapping and possibly other bits.

what kind of power are you looking for out of it? i know its not about figures its about the delivery of it but you cant help but think it'll pass 400 with ease

Bill thinks that it will make a bit more power than the mk2 golf he did which made 477bhp but watch this space...

Will be all too tempting to give it stick where you would normally in an LCR 200+bhp down on your one, and expect it to behave in such a way..

Yer I will mate, I'm sure I will be really nervous driving it at first because pretty much everything has changed apart from the body of the car, clutch will be harsh, power delivery will be out of this world, so going to need to take it easy...

Going to order my tickets for GTI inters today, IMO one of the best UK shows. Been a few years and has always been a good laugh. For those that are interested SCN is going to be represented with a club stand details here : GTI International 2012 SCN Stand

Going to book a couple of strip tickets as well see how well the car performs 0 - 60 and 1.4 mile.
