Carbon Carbon Carbon…
With the new engine cover being CF, I wanted to keep other bits matching. I wasn’t keen on the ECS manifold cover as the weave goes in the opposite direction… I know…
As I’d already smoothed out my original one, this made the ideal donor to stay in keeping with the smoothed look.
Having read only good things, I bought a Carbon Mods Carbon Fibre Starter Skinning Kit.
The three items that I’m doing have all had their final coats and are drying as we speak. They’ll then be flattened and then lacquered. Got to say, I’m really impressed with the ease that you find with this kit.
Moving forward…
With the house move due to take place on 01 Mar, and everything going into storage for 26 days until our new home is ready to occupy, my hands will be tied in getting any further with it all.
I’ve bought some 8mm and 16mm Forge hosing to do a few little touches to finish things off in the bay, then I think I’ll be happy with that.
I haven’t done anything with the donor front wishbones yet. I’ll probably keep those and the bush kit at my folks and do that one weekend in between moves. So desperate to get them fitted now, as you only hear good things…
Nearly saved up for the suspension bits for the Static+ airlift kit for the front.
I feel as if I’m getting somewhere at last now. So many good LCRs around now brilliant threads so lots of inspiration
Thanks for reading
