rf's FR TDi - NOW SOLD - Another Car Change 2013!

Held up not too badly actually when you look at it... I've seen worse!

the modern day french cars are actually really safe in accidents,i read an article a few years ago about a lady who attempted suicide off a cliff in the 2002 shape clio 100ft drop landed on its roof and she was undamaged.

glad it wasnt your own car mate would have been a mental way of dealing with the rattles.

Lol, maybe she had scaffolding poles holding the roof up? Doubt any car would survive that!

You'll be glad to hear the rattles are under control :)

Tardis tar remover and used a little brush to remove all the crap after a few minutes. Think i'll be a bit more careful applying the grease onto the hinges now :)

That's a beauty. But I wouldn't fit a HID kit to it; the way I understand it, at some point during this year they will become MOT failures if not factory fitted.

Correct me if I'm wrong though.

All this hype about hids being an mot fail...depends who your tester is at the ends of the day, mine sailed through. And worst comes to the worst just pop on some halogens for the test

I don't think the rules have changed yet, as far as I'm aware they're changing at some point this year.
I work in an MOT garage and the tester where I work has said its to do with them not being adjustable- but obviously if they're factory fitted then they will go through as there's nothing you can do about it.

I've not done any research in to it; I was just letting you know what I'd heard.
