My Seat Ibiza PD130 - Big Turbo Time ;) GTB2566VK

Right guys, most my parts are here for the Complete Kits for the Intercooler replacement and all Pipes.

I have bought a Twin Pass Intercooler with 3" inlet and outlets. This is a very big Intercooler.
The Intercooler comes with Universal 2.5" piping. (Alimium)
I have bought a MAP Sensor Adaptor pipe as you will need this.
I have also bough some other reduces and bends ect.

I am going to supply pictures and links on the next post and explain whats for what.

Please feel free to ask questions.

The Intercooler is getting fitted Saturday and I am not sure yet what needs to be cut and if the Air-Con or Crash Bar is staying in or not!

Here is the most the bits all together.
The intercooler/metal pipes/couplers/clips are all from this kit on ebay.

£134.99
+ £8.95

Check out the IPOD Touch next to it for size comparison.

I had to buy two reducers for the Intercooler to metal pipes here:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/350484103023?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
£6.58
+ £2.00

I had to measure my PD130 turbo outlet size for a bigger 90Degree bend to replace the crappy VW standard one. I bought this from below. (This will on fit if you replace other pipes)
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/280706808891?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
£11.68 Free postage & packaging

Next off I have bought an adaptor to go from the Plastic piping that goes on the top of the engine (Intercooler to EGR)
This adaptor will allow my 2.5" piping to fit to the standard plastic pipe that goes to the EGR.
I am leaving this 2.25 inch plastic piping here untill I buy my EGR Delete kit.
If you are also going to do this I advise buying an EGR kit asap and replace all this.
I will be doing this ASAP and will post this when done.

£3.29
+ £2.00

I think that's it for the moment, the Garage that I'm fitting it in are going to make a bracket for the Intercooler, this will be a simple bit of metal bending and screws/bolts.

car looking good mate , but i must admit have massive concerns about this particular intercooler core, did a trial test on my first cupra by john ashley exhaust i quickly realised that the inlet port and outlet weren't separated and that some air way bypassing the core itself and not being cooled, hot air tries to fiond the shortest path remember

Hi There,

When ordering this I did have a concern about this.
Now its here I checked as much as possible and it does seem to be a real twin pass.
Would be extremely bad if it was not as this is capable of 600hp+ (supposedly)
I will be check Intake temps ect when its on.
Thanks for the warning!

Kind Regards,

Sam

VERY bad news.

Gearbox has died. Common problem on the 6 Speed box.
The selector rivet breaks and causes the selector to break off the entire rod and damage other bits inside the box.
I am having my box rebuilt with stronger bits next week by a company in Bridgwater called Gearchange.

I think I'm having a lot of bad luck...but anyway....at least my car will be practically brand new lol!

where did the uprated clutch come from. if you don't mind me asking, PM me if you don't want to mention on here..

If you wouldn't mind doing the same for me please?

Very nice car btw, I'm looking at going a similar route just minus the hybrid, instead I shall be purchasing a LSD to be able to handle the power and corners better.

Thought about some nice 17" alloys?

Had same problem, 1st 2nd and reverse failed. Got mine redone completely. Transformed my car along with the new clutch I got :)
