Thats the thing Phil I was driving sensible, I was in a 30 zone but was well under it when I first saw them and they followed me 5 miles before stopping me and I never went above the limit once.

I did ask if it was an age thing and if it was because I was in a modified car etc but I still got put into the 'stereo-typical group'. When I was sitting in the car a Subaru passed and the exhaust on it was much much louder than mine so I pointed that out to them and I got 'Yes but I am dealing with you just now'.

Just going to remove it to save any future hassle etc . Tempted to post the 'leaflet' that I got about the offence .

Didnt put the sirens on, only put the blues on.

Spoke to several people about it and most of them have said my old Mk3 Cupra system was louder than the one I have on just now.

Ah well standard exhaust as of Friday .

Wonder if its time to maybe get something else .

Not Much of an update really.

After my incident last week I now have a a normal, completely bog-standard exhaust fitted on the car. It is far to quiet now etc but the only good thing is that Ive got a slight improvement in fuel economy. But I think it has lost abit, doesnt seem to pull as well as it did last week . Also got my rear brakes fixed by getting the pistons replaced and new brake shoes (drums) and the car stops much better now.

Only thing is I have seriously lost the love again for the Mk2 . Need to try and get it back and get doing some bits to do to it.

Please help me folks as Ive been looking a Corsa Vxr's and thinking about it .........

you need to stop feeling for yourself craig. get your arse into gear, get that mk3 exhaust back on and get the car ready for inters in june! get you and your mk2 down here, in and amongst fella mk2`ers and we will soon change your mind! we all know that you will regret it as soon as/if you get rid of it. sorry to be harsh but you said you needed help in changing your mind xx

Your probably right Phil. I really need to get on with the Ibiza and get a few other jobs done. Wonder if I should just go full out with the Ibiza now. And maybe even drop a lower mileage lump into it to keep it alive much longer .

I hoping to make it to Inters in June, Ive still to drop that 'idea/suggestion' to the other half yet .

Maybe harsh but it is starting to change my mind and giving me some ideas .

im sure he will tell us in his own time, he usually crumble`s after afew days of interigation lol! so long as he`s thinking along those lines and not thinking of the corsa then all is good!

Not open for disclosure just yet need to get a few items and read some more information on the net before doing it, but what it is Im going to attempt the majority of it myself.

Its already off .

I really wanted to keep it on but the local plod are currently on a serious campaign about it (nothing else better to do?! ) and its basically one strike/warning then 2nd time its car taken/confiscated etc and you are given an abso etc.

It just wasnt worth the risk as they were definetely waiting for me and no-one else the other Tuesday night as they have never been back in the place that they were.

I know it is something that is unfortunate but it had to be done . Think a Cupra backbox will be going back on at some point but for now I am just going to enjoy the car as it is .

Not much of an update but I have been working on a list of plans for the next few months:

• New Bonnet (More cost effective than fixing old one)
• Finish Fitting Bonnet Lifters
• Wire Up Rev Counter
• Fit Audiobahn Bass Controller
• Fit Custom Induction Kit with Cold Air Feed
• Fit Catch Can
• And the thing that I am keeping quiet for the time being!

Then its basically get the engine bay cleaned up, clean out all of the arches and tidy up the interior abit with a few 'tweeks'.

There could also be a set of new wheels at some point but that will depend on funds. I have probably missed some stuff of the above list which I will add when I remember them .

Was sick of the sight of the black valves on my wheels so I needed to do something about them so I bought these:

Hopefully should make a difference as they come with a sleeve aswell for over the valve.

Also been browsing at wheels and quite like the following and Im really tempted.

Rota Grid in Gunmetal/Polished Rim - 15 or 16 Inch

Lenso Spec C - Dark Anthracite - 15 Inch

Inovit ST6 - Gunmetal - 16 Inch

Pro Race 1.2 - Gunmetal/Anthracite - 15 or 16 Inch

IF I decided to get a new set Im drawn towards the Rota's or Pro Race 1.2 but unsure about size 15 or 16's. Although Im rather tempted by the Lenso's as the are alittle different, if I did though I would remove the sticker from the spoke.

Opinions Please!?
