Little update kinda,

Noticed my coolant has been going down rather fast recently. Kept topping it up and looking for leaks etc and couldn't see any.

The other day I inspected the engine bay more thoroughly, and spotted the leak. The usual place of where it goes into the heater matrix. Unfortunately it looks as though its not just the seals, it may be the pipes also.

Got them ordered anyway, so hopefully will replace this weekend and sort it :)

Also got a rather cool handsfree thing for xmas from the girlfriend. Basically just a magnet that clips onto the grills, and a small metal thing that sticks on your phone (phone cover in my case). Then just put it up against the magnet and it holds the phone. Lovely stuff :)

Will get some more pics up this weekend of everything.

P.S Happy new year all.

Got a pic to show the 'lowness' it currently sits at.

Not the best pic but you get the idea

Will also go get a pic of the full beam as promised. Only actually put 1 of the bulbs in so far so I can compare

Went to the Xscape meet today, but on my way over the sun was out and the ground was white. So stopped for a few quick snaps (from phone though :ban:)

Cheers!

Aye I hope so, I could lower the front to match the back but I don't think I want it quite that low.

Unfortunately not, the little laptop wasn't having any of it. The guy (sorry don't remember your name) doing it said he'd bring a different laptop next time that seems a lot more consistent with the program.
Maybe I'll make it chirp like a little bird when it unlocks haha.

You enjoy the meet? Well done and thanks for organising it :)

Haha gutted :( The only thing I wish mine had really, is cruise control. That and built in bluetooth for my phone. They would be nice extras! Oh and factory xenons :p

Really? Glad I left shortly after you then! Didn't get very far though, got to the bottom of the road and saw KFC....it was inevitable I couldn't say no

Hahah yeah im looking into Xenons :)

Cruise control can be retrofitted on most ibizas! Not mine though i dont think :ban:

It wasn't to do with the meet though, someone leaving crossed the chevron arrows on the motorway infront of a cop!

Expensive times for both cruise control and xenons though isn't it!

Oh right, haha well thats their own fault then! Numpty :p

------------

Slight update: Can't remember if I mentioned it, but I got my coolant leak fixed. Replaced the small pipes and seals of the bit going into heater matrix. Seems to have stopped anyway so jobs a good un!

A retrofit cruise kit is only 88 euro plus P+P from Kufatec... somewhat cheaper than a set of coilovers for example ;)

I'm good at spending other people's money

That is actually cheaper than I expected! Wouldn't know where to start to fit it though.

-----------

So this weekend I borrowed a car from work as I was spending the whole weekend driving round picking up various different items of furniture. Borrowed an 09 Audi A4 2.0 TDI.
It was so refined and comfy it was unreal. Could barely hear the engine running, hardly felt any bumps etc and was full of kit - sat nav, bluetooth, cruise control blah blah.
The only downside was it felt so slow. Saw the sticker on the inside of the door saying its 120ps which kind of explained it. My car had more power standard!

Anyway, I dropped the car back at work last night as someone needed it first thing this morning, and got back in my car...

Started the engine and drove off, noisy and bumpy as hell once more :( However, shocked myself at how fast it is once again. Truely brought a massive smile back on my face, even made me laugh (I was on my own I might add).

So yeah, little story, but basically summed up: a slow(er) comfy saloon was just what I needed to be reminded how quick this car is!

Love it. (despite how loud and bumpy it is) :)

Not really an update as such, but my car is filthy! Shockingly so :(

Hasn't been washed in well over a month.... Though it did rain the other day which took off quite a bit of crap haha :ban:

Well that is about to change, this weekend I am staying at my parents house (dog sitting) right through to tuesday. So as a result I am going to be super bored (on monday and tuesday at least) so I will go to town on ze car I think!

Got a few things to sort on the car too: Seat locking dust caps, raise coilies and fit new interior SMD bulb (a brighter one). Might de-badge also, will have to see if I have some dental floss - haha

Expect nice clean pictures soon :p

Until then....here is my nice cleaned (by rain....) car - before it rained, you could only just read the reg plate.....OOPS!

Thanks Jmerrie, visually the car is standard really. So it has given a few people a shock this last week, really enjoying the extra power!

Yeah I know that feeling.
I am undeceided on whether to go for coilovers with getting the larger wheels.

If your not looking to change wheel i agree with Jordon ... go for it will look quite nice a little lower, but if your looking to upgrade the wheels then possibly not!!

Haha well I have since fitted coilovers mate and I love em (just not on speedbumps...).

I think if getting larger wheels you might want to lower it as it'll be higher off the ground surely? :p

Well ... yeah true, the wheels are 1 inch taller but the tyres are 10mm thiner which is about 25mm higher so you may be right ...
