I should hope so... Saying that, mine went up from £1700 in my first year, to £2300 in my second.. Because I went from TPF&T cover, to fully comp on my own, with a DOC third party policy... Meant I could drive my dads 2.8 litre audi A6 around legally :) Booom... Back to £1700 after a bit of playing with my insurance ;) wOoooh :)

Ahhh right.
I'm on fully comp cover with my mum & dad on as named drivers, probably why it's quite expensive. Lol that must have been sweet. 2.8 petrol?
I drove my dad's 1.9tdi saab 95 estate, felt like a rocket ship compared to the beeza which is why I eventually want a 1.8T dropped in my car!

Ohhh yess!! 2.8 petrol.. His exact words were the other day "Im getting a little bored with the speed of my car.. I am going to get another A6 i think.." To which I replied "Are you frigging serious?".. He then said.. "Yeah, I fancy a 2.7 litre Bi-Turbo'd Audi A6.. That might piss Paul off with his Evo" Haha!! That will be fun.. Quattro <3 :) I would love a cupra engine in mine.. Would be awesome!!

Lol I think when you get a faster car all you want to do is keep going faster. Eventually you'll be in like a 6.3 AMG merceds just as your daily!
That 2.7 Bi-turbo would be mint. Yeah. Definitely upgrading the engine when the time comes. If the car's still fine after like 5 years that is :p

The first years no claims makes a huge difference.

Im my first year on my mk2 (2006) I was paying 1500 a year, 1 year no claims and it went down to 700. Which I was very happy about. Now, 24 in july, 5 years no claims and ALL mods declared I am paying 400 on the dot, and Im in quite a high risk area because of other young people the last few years, passing their test and crashing their cars days later.

It actually made no difference for me.. It went up.. Although, I did go from tpf&t to fully comp.. It is actually cheaper to go FullyComp over tfp&t.. So, thats a lot better :)

Im getting impatient! I really want to slam my car to the ground and colour code her.. Damn money...

YAY! Finally got my car Insured and MOT'd.. I love driving it again.. Especially with immense B4SS! :) Insurance is £1400 a year.. Cheaper than £2400+ :) Anyhows.. Im driving to work this morning.. Smiling because im driving my car again... and *Rumble Rumble Rumble, Flash Flash Flash from the Engine Management Light* I reckon a coil pack has gone... Sounds like its running on 3 Cylinders.. F$*KING HELL!!!! FUMING!! Just got it back, and now its ****ed again.. Its pissing me off big time!!

Rant over.... What mods should I do? I only plan on keeping the car for a year or so, so what should I do :)

It really does need lows!! Big time!! They WILL come soon :p Will be even nicer to drive once I sort this misfire out... Im going to try the Plugs, then leads... If its none of them, I will try the coil.. if its not the coil.. Then maybe Dizzy cap? Or injectors... Either way.. This may either be cheap... Or VERY expensive :/

Been sat since 1st of August... Until 17th of August.. Then it was driven to the Garage to be sorted.. May give it a real blast... But would it do damage if something is wrong with the engine and I give it a good rollocking? :p

It'll either fix it, or make the problem more obvious....I wouldn't think it'd break anything that wasn't either already gone or on its way out anyway.

HOWEVER

Make sure the engines hot first, and check under the bonnet (running and/or not) to see if its anything obvious first.

Dont buy anything. Save save save. Then epic lows/wheels.

You know it makes sense.

Cos i hear coilies have a harsh ride and cheap springs blah blah (budget ones, cant afford much else) so i thought swapping the springs about might help... or am i taking that too literally when people say its harah?

It really does make sense.. Save for a few weeks and slam it.. :) I still love my Stars, but will refurb them and paint them silver/something whacky

What he said! Its time we fix all the high riding 1.4s! :D wonder if the cupra springs will transfer to the coilies  could do with keeping the firm ride

It is time, to stop riding on stilts, and get down with da mandem y0!! I need lows sooo much!! Once its lowered, I can then start painting here and there, and general tidy up...

And why on earth would you swap the springs across you big boob? I think the ride is bad enough on these springs, I think my back could manage.. Just dodge potholes, and stones.... I am going for budget coils.. £200ish, and if they break and people say "If you buy cheap you will buy twice" I will tell them to FL!CK OFF and eat my excrement!!

Rant over... Car is now fixed, with iridium sparks, cleaned carb, cleaned injectors and new air filters.. She flieeesss  She is also clean, but she sits so high that dirt simply cannot reach that high..

Anyhow, Im going to buy some stickers off Ebay, and also buy a POLO REAR WIPER! <You get that Owen? Haha :) I also need a cupra backbox, but now the f0r S4le section has gone, Its hard to find.. Will all probs come after Coils :) Could be VERY soon :) :funk:
