Clutch pedal... STRAIGGHTTT down to floor again.. It feels as though a spring has snappped.. As it has been creaking for about 2 weeks.. 1 of which i was on holiday.. Im going to get my trusty phillips out and have a snoop around..

Check the hinge on it...were the plastic clip sits...they always snapped and u have to get it welded..i did on my Ibiza..

Yup mine has just done the exact same thing!!! Plastic clip snapped!! Not massively expensive to fix though thankfully

On closer inspection, it is actually the cable which has snapped.. WTF! It snapped at the pedal end.. £40 goes to general traffic.. They like my money a lot!

Ive just read through your whole Riders Ride thread and your car looks really good!! .

I like the things that you have done with it and you have kept it simple and OEM looking, I like the black spoiler against the grey of the car. I really like the colour of the car aswell. I think yours is the first I have saw in that colour.

I know how it feels when you fall in and out of love with the car, I have been like that many times over the 6 years of ownership of mine.

You have any other plans for the mk3 or are you still thinking off selling up?

I think Im going to throw maybe £500 - £600 at her.. Which includes Coils, paint for various parts, Cupra interior, new mirrors, Cupra backbox, cupra front bumper? and a few other bits and bobs.. Just get her looking respectable and then see where I go from there

There'd be no point in modifying cars if everyone had the 'buy a better one' attitude. Bit different when you mod it instead of just going and buying a Cupra or something after 3 years of driving a standard car.

Having said that, I wouldn't complain if someone gave me a Cupra.

I agree! I am happy to slam mine to the floor and get it looking very tidy, I wish I could insure a cupra.. GoCompare gave me some prices of £3000 on a cupra.. NoNoNo! I'll just stick with my slug for another year or so I want to get her looking tasty ..

Same goes, if someone gave me a cupra, then I would definately pay £3000 to insure it.. Just to hear the Wooooohtsh....
