So I took the plunge and bought myself a car for fun. I still have the A6 and now I have a Mk2 Ibiza. You may recognise her as I had her off a member here....

here she is sitting on her former owners drive....

To date I have removed the old man wind deflectors, and treated her to some new decals.

I'm hoping to change the aerial for a smaller one, get some more rims for her and get a new head unit.

Will get some pics up as soon as I've taken some. I'm too busy driving round and smiling. She has a lovely burble and lifts even the darkest day.

I'm very pleased with her. She makes me smile just sitting in her on the drive. The neighbours think I'm a loon at times just sitting in here at times.

You say that, but there used to be a Mk2 in the same colour round here. Never figured out what engine it was tho. think it was a mechanics car.

She is not my daily driver, she's purely for fun, laughs, shows and meets. Her petrol consumption is next to nothing compared to the Audi I'm pleased to say.

Theres a fair few 1.4 sports in the same colour, there (was) one lives/lived over the road from Kez.
Vicky's one is/was a diesel and you see the odd one crop up on the Bay as 8V GTi's.

Copying? I have no mk2...man I miss it though, remember the fun we had racing upto 77mph on motorway (and john doing 41mph hahaahah)

Hahaha, I know, and I did, not fall off, but pulled over with mad camber and only 1 bolt holding wheel (D90's, as had threaded bolts) and was pooping it for ages after.

Thats the way mines going, just trying to iron some cheap insurance out for the 6-ish months of nice weather we get here. Will be locked away for winter soon.
