With who!?

;)

Its a bit of a bargain because I've but it through the same company as my friend insures his 10 model T fords with so they've done it cheap to keep him happy. Limited to 1000 miles a year so just use it in the summer months.

Also being 27 in a couple of weeks does help.

I still got to find a daily to take over, Alfa Romeo 147 JTDM is faveourite so far. Just got to scrape a few more pennies.

You know you have a mk2 when:

checking the local breakers to see if they have a 8/16v in is part of your daily routine.

"no its not the same part as a polo or golf" is your catchphrase.

you get into the habit of driving to the part suppliers, taking the damaged part off in the car park, and taking it inside to compare to the golf/polo part they ALWAYS try and sell you.

washers become "adjustment spacers"

you go through headlights faster than oil filters

you have all the tools a mechanic could possibly need in the boot, except that 17mm hex bit you need to check the transmission fluid. (road bolt + 17mm spanner works if the bolt is not rusted in)

axle stands are part of the car tool kit.

"I heard your car before i saw it" :D

70mph feels sloooowwww

Paul, the standards are going on because its going up for sale soon, bud, im not gonna start refurbing rims to put on it, i'll let the new owner do that ;) I want to see what the mims look like on the golf, then decide if Im leaving them orange for now or if i'll change the colour.
