Started cleaning up my car for the National Meet at Crail this Sunday. Lots to do and running out of time, but hopefully will look ok and it won't be raining!

Washed car and then washed all door sills ect with Meguiar's APC.

Then I removed any Tar Spots and Clayed it, ready for Machine Polishing.

Then I treated the glass to some TLC. Firstly cleaned it with Nanolex Premium Glass Cleaner, then applied Nanolex Premium Glass Sealant. The pic of after doesn't do it much justice, but I am very impressed with this nifty stuff!

Now onto the fun part!

Oh, and my latest purchase!

Will be spending most of tomorrow finishing the machine polishing, then waxing and doing the interior. I recon in total I will be spending roughly 27-30 hours. Hopefully, when Im done, it will be worth all the effort!

Indeed, good taste!! Agreed :)

Nothing to be worried about, I think your car may put quite a few to shame! Really has come on well since you've owned it and the effort will have paid off come the end of the show.

Don't go there about the rain... it hasn't stopped in London for a while now, it's been really rubbish on and off weather.

Aw cheers Tom! I was looking at pics of when I first got it, looks pretty different now compared to what it used to be! I wish the guy I bought it from could see it now, as he described it as 'Mint' lol.

Im entering it into the Show 'n' Shine at Crail, just for the banter :)

Rain, spoils everything!

I think you could call it "proper mint" now Kat ;)

Looks ace, you've got nothing to worry about :) and if it does rain, just think of all the lovely beading shots of the paintwork!

Looks ace Kat, as usual :)

Quick question about the glasswork - do you clay your windows? And does the stuff you used have to be applied with a machine polisher or can it be done by hand?

I've got heaps of tiny little marks (presumably tiny stonechips) that look like dust on my windscreen, can see them in sunlight even immediately after a good wash, inside and out. Was hoping there'd be something that can remove these...

Haha, they always describe them as 'mint'

You should send him pictures of the car now... I'm sure he'd be shocked.

Let us know how you get on in the show with the car!

Rain does! Especially when it's July.. :( I really don't want to get my car back from being detailed if it's raining all weekend!

Thanks Niall :)

I clay my glass yes, shocking what comes off it! No, both the cleaner and sealant is applied by hand with a microfibre pad then buffed off with a microfibre cloth. Very easy to do! You only leave the sealant on for 1-2 minutes.
I too have a couple stonechips, which Iv never managed to get removed, but they are the size of a pin head at the biggest so can't be filled. I still have to find something to remove them!

Tell me about it :( the national meet looks like its going to be a belter for numbers though.

You'll just need to come out to one of the local meets ;)

Yeah, looks good! Haha, yeah well up for a meet in August now that I feel Foxy is 'presentable' :D

Hes a member on here, but seems to be on very little. I might send him a PM actually :p I will do, thanks :D

Ah but think on the beading Tom!! Once it's waxed, if it rains, all you need to do is spray and wipe with a detailing spray. This makes it look newly polished! Meguiar's Last Touch, you can't go wrong ;)

Ah but it's not the time spent, it's the quality that matters ;) I re-did my carbon on the gearknob today as wasn't happy with it lol! Did you get your centre console done?

Yes i did, i did a good job as well, but after a couple days of it being left in the sun it bubbled so back to standard now :( Might just spray it gloss white instead, will see, might look a bit tacky!
