A good tyre gel/dressing is essential, great purchase and car looks better for it!

hello rich, car looks great, the tyre gel also works wonders on the silicone hoses in the bay. i cannot recommend ap coilovers enough. fantastic quality and a very nice ride. the ap are made at the same place as kw and weitec. infact there is no difference between the weitec and ap, same box same coilovers just a different colour.
also a little something turned up today :)

i will try and fit the can tomorrow and let you know how it goes. by the way build quality is 10 out of 10 and its very very light :)

 that looks great Sam, looking forward to seeing it fitted (definately going to want one of these;)). I didnt realise AP's were the same as Weitec and KW, good to know.

yeah it needs a polish but im dead happy with it. its bigger than the toyo can, has a inside wall seperating the inlet and outlet so aslong as its not over full the outlet should keep pretty clean :)
for £57 is a bargin

yeah it will. it will go under the brace, the maf housing will flip up the other way and rotating the sensor in the housing 180 degrees so the maf cable is happy and not kinked. i read the other day the maf is fine when ran upside down so thats good to hear. also its going to look so much neater :D

Went down to PD Tuning in Boldon today for a Rolling Road Day, unfortunately having looked forward to getting the car on the rollers I came away quite disappointed:

scan0001-1.jpg

The best the car made was 259.5 bhp & 295 ft/lb.

Having spoke to a few others who have used these rollers before I found they were very conservative and everyone seemed to be down on power on the day. The only consolation being another lads (Zeap101) Stage 2 (Jabba) LCR made 258.3 bhp & 280 ft/lb, that at least should mean theres nothing wrong with the car and its merely down to conditions and the good old dyno lottery (which I seem to have lost:cry:).

I did find out however mine seems to red line late (7200rpm) and was told it should red line around 6800rpm, the operator also thinks I should be able to increasing the timing to 7 or 8 . Looks like I'll be investing in vagcom sometime soon so I can have a play.

Pictures from today:

Also realised when i got home the runs were done in 3rd, should it not be 4th?

And my personal favourite from today:drool::

Newly (just today) stage 1 mapped Edition 30 Golf GTI made 305bhp, so much better looking than the MK2 Leon.

shame on todays result mate but dont let it get to you, how many runs did you get, mine normally takes a few runs to reach its max bhp . what coolant fans did they have and how many?

Its hard not to, I was expecting something around yours.
3 runs, not sure what the fan was but there was only one and it was quite far back from the front of the car (opposite end of the ramp the cars go up to get on the rollers, didnt seem to big either).
I've had 280bhp on the liquid gauge but I'm not sure how reliable that is.
They charge £50 to tweak the map, something I am considering.
I wish I was closer to Badger 5!
