The start of something new.... My mk2 Leon FR

Hello to all,

I've finally become a Seat owner and am now the proud to announce that i got rid of that shitty little Punto sporting (nothing but problems) and upgraded to a 2008 Leon FR 170bhp TDI. and Jevus, what an upgrade it is!

Had told myself I wanted a diesel so started searching and comparing Focus tdci's with the ST body kits, Audi A3's, Astra's and of course the Leon.

Guess it was a no brainer really because soon enough i'd eliminated the Focus, Astra and pretty much the A3 and I was left with a selection of 2-3 year old FRs to mull over and to go view.

I ended up finding a 2008 '08 170bhp TDI Leon FR with 31k on the clock and the 18" Alloys.

First impressions were great, loved the interior, the shape and size of the steering wheel, the nice MFD with bluetooth and trip cruise control, Aux input, the seats....everything really.

Service of Sale was good and felt like i got a rather good buy, being the 29th of the month helped, so i put down a deposit and agreed to pay the full amount on the 31st of the month.

Don't really know what else to say apart from that I am in love, in my eyes MY FR is a beaut but after looking over this forum the past month you could say im pretty bog standard compared to you lot!!!

Anyway, here she is and a list of current mods (just the one of so far!! lol) and intended mods to follow....

Modifications.....

So far.....

both aesthetic,

stubby aerial in place of standard anti-theft one

FR badge placed on front bumber... (no i don't want it to look like a FL FR i just want those infront to know they're being followed by no ordinary Leon )


Intended Future Mods -

• 
  Either Linear Grill with satin surround to match wing mirrors or Cupra grill with black surround. (your opinion?)

• Forge Remap

• Eibach Pro-kit (don't wanna go too low)

• Leon sill protectors

• Aero rear spoiler

• (and maybe skirts)

• Possibly some form of ambient interior lighting

• GTI pedals

that's all i can think of at the moment, mainly all aesthetic things, but reckon when i catch this so called 'bug' the list may end up getting extended a bit!!

As i said above i'm not much of the 'modder' so if anyone has got any suggestions then i'm all ears and open to ideas!

cheers bud, yeah i did think of that but felt it looked too cramped and too low, might slap it on the new grill as and when, will see how it looks anyway.

Only the 2009 onwards have a badge on the front, but cheers!

Ordering Eibach Pro-Kit today, should be fitted by the end of the week with a bit of luck!

will keep updated.

Grill Update

alright folks!

finished work today and came home to discover the grill piece had arrived!!!

Many thanks to Nath. for sorting that one out, much appreciated!

anyway, managed to get the old grill out nice and easy (apart from twatting myself in the nose when giving it a tug!!) and got the Cupra black grill in now, was very easy to do and really like the black on black.... was thinking about doing something with the badges but i quite like the chrome logo on black surround and black car!

Anyway, heres a couple pics....

Update!

just coming up to 10pm and have just got back from a quick spin after spending the afternoon lowering the Leon using Eibach Pro-kit. feels a lot nicer in the corners and looks a tidy height.
was contemplating going with the sportlines but didn't want it to be sitting too low.

Anyway, will slap a couple pics up in daylight.

Dave at Seremotors on the forum should be able to help. I got mine from somebody on here via the Mk5GolfGTI forum so is always worth checking that out for good deals.
