remap and fuel consumption Ibiza fr 1.8t

hi all,
it's been two and a half years since i bought my car.
and i pretty got used to the power

when it's get to power i know remap is the best value for money.
most of my rides are in town and the fuel consumption is very high 7-8Km to litter
and i barely do a 300Km for a full fuel tank.

my question is if a remap maybe can make the car drink less fuel or it's only can make it worse.

by the way there is a few alternatives when it get to chip tuning
upsolut with is very popular in israel
giac,apr and revo
how bad remap affect on engine , gear box and turbo reliability?

and with one is the best for me?

All remaps can see you making better km/ltr dude.

the basic fact is that your car is producing more power at lower revs therefore performing more economically.

That said, the temptation of sticking your toe in is usually too great for most . lol and once you do that, the consumption will go down.

So generally you'll usually end up doing around the same km/ltr

Had mine mapped and the fuel economy around the doors seems to have improved greatly. Not a lot of difference with motorway driving but it is slightly higher..

I never really fill my tank, usually put £40 in which works out at about 30litres with the current fuel prices so about 6 gallons.. With that, I get between 220 and 240 miles before I next refuel.

Suppose it works out as about 390km / 5 gallons if that helps.

With my remap, the fuel is way better for pootling about 30+mpg, obviously you start driving hard for prolonged periods and you will get slightly worse mpg, about 22ish mpg.

I drive sensible most of the time & reset the trip computer every time I put fuel in. It seems to be fairly accurate +/- maybe 1 or 2mpg.

Driving sensibly when using it for work I average around 38mpg for the week. As you mentioned, driving hard for 5 minutes and that figure will be down to about 30 easily

I drive trough traffic, city and highway.
On the highway with a normal speeds of 150/160 km/h.
I must say I only drive on Euro 98 fuel

I've got a stage 1 Revo map and it indicates about 43mpg on a 19mile journey to work, I can get it up to 47mpg (indicated) if very steady. Most journeys I get it reading 40mpg. Not sure how accurate it is.
