Your quite right Nige, point taken. Reason I said IPA was that if the rubber is then being nourished i.e. restore with a good product then it shouldnt really matter to much?

Another good point... well made :p

I suppose the IPA offers a more intensive cleaning than the APC alone and also ensures any residue from the APC is cleared away before the dressing is applied... [B)]

Great write up and product review mate, i have ordered a R32 Steering wheel like yours, i want to maintain it like new for a lot of time, so my doubt is

What is the ideal product for weekly cleaning? car is a daily driver

I was thinking in 1Z Cockpit premium

A 10:1 dilution of an APC solution will be fit for the task. Secret to keeping steering wheels good is regularly cleaning so the dirt doesnt ingrain in the leather. This causes the leather to go shiny! So APC wipe of once a week should keep it well.

APC is not too much strong for leather? i think will leave my leather to dry or not?

10:1 dilution ration should be fine. Depending on quality of APC just sponge down or wipe over the leather with water.

Alernatively you can get a leather cleaner.

Maz, over week ago I also got Meguiar's Endurance Tire Gel and Im very satisfied of this product. It really last long time on the tire. On Saturday 11th, I took a part in Meguiar's DD here in Belgium and I need to say it was very interesting event. You can learn a lot about their products and usage of it. Really worth to attend. :)

From the point of view of a detailer i imagine that you not only apreciate gloss and paint sharpeness, how do you go with the rattles and squeks of the interior? do you have any special formulas for fixed them, i have fixed all the common rattles like the rear seat and ashtray, but i have notice that when its raining the car rattles nothing, i saw in one thread that you used wd40 in all rubbers and plastics, this improves the rattle trouble??? How much your leon rattle?

Rubber grommets, foam...depends where you get rattle. Mind has been pretty good over the years.
