Let the problems begin :(

Ok so today i found out that water is literally flooding my car on the passenger side, rear footwell is soaking. Lifted the carpet and it's like a swimming pool in the front footwell but can't come through onto the carpet because there is thick rubber sound deadening stuff there. I've searched on here and i came to the conclusion that there is a bung missing from the engine bay somewhere. Saw this under the scuttle panel right underneath the draining hole, i suspect this is where the water is entering. Any ideas?

Also today, i got onto preventing any rattles developing. Putting sticky back fuzzy felt onto the contact surfaces of the popper style clips on the rear quarters and siliconing any little bits i thought could cause rattles. I admit i'm a bit obssessed about rattles lol.

That hole under the scuttle panel looks like the one that caused mine to leak water in!

Mine did have a bung, however it didn't seem to be fitted properly and wasn't sealed, so a big blob of water resistant silicone later, the car hasn't let water in again since.

Ah right, well it's booked in at the dealer to get it sorted. Only thing is they can't get me a courtesy car until the 27th, so i've got water sloshing about the wiring for the airbag for the meantime :(

That sucks, I'm afraid if they are to do the job properly then they'll need to order in the bung it should have in that hole. And if your dealer is like my local one, predictably it won't be in stock... so you'll have to wait another 2 days while it's ordered...

Done my front badge in gloss black vinyl today. Such a pain to do right! Was going to attempt the lower lip but i can't be arsed with vinyl just now and i don't know how to remove the centre lower grill to do a proper job.

You never want to show your reg mate:wtf:

Fraudsters get that and clone it you've a serious problem. It happened to one of my mates, he was getting parking and speeding fines from London which he has never been too in his life !!!!!

Which makes the least sense. If someone local cloned my plate, I might get confused and pay there speeding fine.

If someone in London does it, I'll be pretty sure it wasn't me

Mare risk being caught duh! If there 2 identical motors in the same area ie LOCAL.

Cheers, i'm really picky so i need to have it looking flawless and it's still not 100% but better than my first two attempts. I did in between the grooves of the badge first to make sure all the chrome was being covered properly. Might do the b pillars tomorrow, will see if i can be arsed. Got snow foam as well, can't wait to try that out as the car has'nt been washed for three weeks and is filthy!

Looking good. What did you use for cleaning them? Hope you put some protection on when you were done to make it easy next time

Obviously i took the wheel off first then gave all round the arch a good blast with the power washer. Next, scrubbed the arch lining using toothbrush, wheel brush and old shoe brush and a scouring sponge. Power washer all the loose dirt out again with the power wash. Then dried it off using an old towel and used AG Tar Remover with an old cloth to remove all the tar spots (most time consuming part). Cleaned the inside of the wheel while they were off. Found some alloy wheel protector in the garage which i used to hopefully prevent them from getting as bad again then dressed using megs high endurance gel.
