Stage 2 Done!

Well it's all done, Stage 2 AMD mapped and with great results, even on a warm day :).

She made 290bhp & 326lb/ft :D. I reckon with adaptation and a colder day, I'd have cracked the 300 on the AMD rollers.

All I can say is wow, what a transformation it has made and going from Stage 1 to Stage 2 is just as exciting as getting mapped for the first time. The car is crazy, it's insane in every gear and just keeps going. I don't really know what to say, I'm a little scared of it haha and the car that I thought I knew I no longer do, especially while it's trying to wrench itself out of my hands. Seriously, well done AMD & Kenny in particular, what a great service and all the guys at AMD were fantastic! Thank you.

The car was too low to get on the rollers haha so it had to be raised...oops and I apologise for that but AMD were great about it. The car went on the rollers and made 252bhp & 270lb/ft with the Stage 1, it would have produced more but I had a huge boost leak which Kenny found easily, fixed that pronto and was ready for the rollers again. They thought it should have been 260 - 270bhp or there about with the mods that I have unmapped but it didn't get run again after the leak was fixed, there was no point. I think Kenny's comment summed it up at the end of the day, "the car is ballistic", I have to agree lol. So there you have it, another 40bhp jump!

The exhaust sounded nuts before the Stage 2 but it's in another world right now and I've got huge pops coming from it, just crazy.

Thanks also to t0m who spent the day with me down there, so sorry for the long wait but I am glad you like the car and that exhaust note

Here's a quick video of it on the rollers...

Thanks for the comments :). EVO?...Pshhh haha, I honestly can;t imagine having much more fun, I actually just woke up (really early for me on a Sunday) excited to drive it. I'm so happy with it right now I am so motivated to get a RARB fitted, the other two engine mounts and see where I am at but as a road car, it should be really sorted then.

There's no reason not to Darren, you're all set mods wise and although I have no experience of your '1.5' map, the Stage 2 is completely different to the generic Stage 1, improved in all areas. I'm still trying to get to grips with it hitting 2500rpm and going nuts even on part throttle, really addictive and unlike Stage 1 it doesn't tail off at all.

I felt really bad tyrer :D but these coilover are so easy to play around with, 15mins and done.

Nice result jason :) enjoy the car dude and be careful. I went from oem to stage 2 and i found the car scary to begin with so i know what you mean lol. I love it when you have to fight with the steering wheel, makes you smile :D
As i say enjoy the car.
One other thing do you know what boost you are running, 326ftlb is very high, mine was simular but bill told me we need to turn it down, saying that i did run it for a few months like it without any probs. Just thinking as your torque is high and you have the badger 5 tip, whats your turbo boosting at, mine was hitting 2 bar, this caused the high torque. As you know we fixed the issue with a mbc.

Jason.... No worries for my persistence to see the car mapped and finally on the rollers. It was worth the wait ;)

All I can say to anyone who has not heard Jason's exhaust is... it's mental! It sounds so so good. I am a bit jealous of the pops and overall tone it makes. Not too loud but it is raw and gives that motorsport sound we crave!

So happy with your results. Kenny really did put the work in and sort it out with the boost leak before it went on. Also good of him to talk about your boost and the map is set as not to boost too high to keep it safe.

Next up I think you need that gauge put in! The fact Kenny loved driving it when he blasted it up the strip and back down says it all.

Was a good day despite the wait and the on/off weather. The car did really well and sounded like it was pulling so hard on the dyno. You've got a good'un mate. Forget that BMW ;)
