Nicee, got yourself a good deal there!

Any decisions made on the alloy colour yet? Still think you should go white ;)

None yet, thinkin about keeping them silver though... maybe just a tincy bit darker than what they are atm, with a bit of speckle in them..?

Also, just an Idea I've had today.. Could have quite an interesting small mod for you guys. But it'll have to wait yet, cos I'm ordering all the stuff I need for it atm.. but its for the flip key I have..

Could turn out really bad.. haha. Although, If it works out well, I could do a few more for anyone that's interested in them. But we'll wait and see before I jump into that one! lol

So far I think it'll cost around £20 to do it with everything, hopefully no more than that - as I cant really afford it! :p

So I want to properly clean the car now for the summer. So far I've got a few bits and pieces, and this is my order: (let me know If i'm missing anythin, or have it wrong...)

- Power washer to remove loose dirt
- AG Bodywork Shampoo/conditioner (2 bucket method with microfibre cloth)
- Dry with drying towel
- Clay with AG Surface Detailing Clay kit
- Polish with AG Super Resin Polish
- Wax Don't have one yet, but I was looking at the AG HD wax, or is there any better ones?
- Leave over night, and rewash (2 bucket method) next day.
- Sealant Again, I don't have this so any ideas on best one?

List of cloths that I have:

- Synthetic Drying towel
- MF Wash mitt x 2 (one new and one old)
- Cotton polish cloth
- Blue MF Cloth for clay bar
- MF wax applicator

You've got the hang of it :p only thing is you should seal before you wax. The wax is the finishing touch, the sealant seals in the nice fresh paintwork you'll have following a good polish.

Which wax is up to you, lots of people like AG HD wax but it doesn't last as long as the Collinite range. I use Collinite 476S which lasts 6-8 months, though it doesn't give quite as much shine as the HD wax. That said, the shine should really be provided from the polish, not the wax. ;)

Also ideally you should add a second layer of wax 24 hours later, so the first coat has been given time to cure. Not completely necessary but the perfectionist would do it. :D

I'm hoping to give mine a full detail 2 weeks this weekend (my weekends usually have a lot going on...)

So will the AG super resin polish give good results? Or should I look at any others? What sealant should I use?

Can do mine aswell if you like ;)
Wouldn't want to risk scratching your shiny new car! Only takes a moment to kick a bucket over

This is where detailing is so open to opinion, it would be rude really for me to suggest what you should use, there are plenty of reviews on the net.

If you're polishing by hand, then I don't think AG Super Resin can be beaten, but if you're using a DA or a rotary, there's quite a bit of choice. I've got some Menzerna polishes which I'll apply with a DA... wouldn't fancy applying them by hand though!

The sealant I'll be using will be Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection, just because I have some left over from previous details. Chemical Guys make some good sealants though (JetSeal 109 for instance) but it is jolly expensive.

Give us a clue at least;)

Well ther'll be a minimum of 7 new mods on the car... most are quite small.

On another note, got my old alloys sold.. good price too.

Told him I would refurb them for him.. so it looks like I'll get these redone b4 I get my new ones done! lol

I'll put up how I get on with it on here, hopefully if it goes well it may help someone wanting to do the same.

So far I've just got the tyres off, powerwashed and scrubbed the alloys today...
