no it ain't

they have coilies like our Bora's, spring and shocks seperately

but to get a "proper" coilover set (so not seperately) you need to reinforce the top mounting point, when I looked at getting one when I was getting my mk2 ibiza/working on my mates, we could of reinforced the top strut, will try and find the pics we took/mocked up :)

Yeah that would be of help :D

I've not actually looked into it properly, but have been told that they're a pain to get on as a lot of welding is required.

Whichever way it's done, proper coilies or separate springs/shocks, it will need to be looow

Bloody distracted now, I'm meant to be making a website but I find myself researching coilies for this! I haven't even restored it yet lmao!

hahaha, I always do as much research as I can before I do stuff

you have to get fixed rear sized springs, as you cannot put an adjust platform on, but on the front you can play with height

but with a bit of modding, you can get proper coilies on, then drop how you want :D

Exactly what I'm doing, don't want to rush into anything without knowing enough with this!

I wonder how much air would cost? Should I donate a body part....or 2?

Stay clear of coilovers on an E30 unless your spine is very flexible, anymore than a 40mm drop will ruin the handling and ride.

If you need any help/questions give me a shout fella.

Well my Bora isn't exactly the smoothest ride and that's a daily, this is literally gonna be the be the weekend project. Won't be going anywhere fast so don't need to be worrying about handling so much.....purely aesthetic, low 'n' slow :p

I did ask over on e30zone about how you go about lowering these, but got slated about having it so low (after showing them that chop I've done) because they're all old and miserable :cartman:

Would be wanting to go a similar height to this:

Maybe lower, but will be on 15s, that in the link is 16s

who said RS's?
Loads of 16's for sale, good prices and will sit better, then you don't have to go so low (when REALLY low, the ride is horrendous, I mean 1million times worse then the bora lol)

I said RS's
Though I could go for the cheaper wannabe RM's :p :cartman:

Wheels aren't on the top of my list, get it running right and looking right first, give it a nice drop then wheels :)

wannabe? sure, why ain't you got a set then ;)

TBH I prefer RM's, as I don't want no more width on the barrel, as it will just hit the strut, and I can get a nice dish on the RM's for a fraction of the price of a crap set of RS's ;)

yeah its true, get it working right, then move on :)

Haha I have RZ's which are awesome :p

TBH rm's are one of the sets I would like but aren't 16's rare?

yep, but are 5x120, so get some E36 parts on, then straight fit

An indian restaurant we go, the singh owns a E30 M3, on BBS Style 5's (quite deep dished), absolutely immaculate, and with his name on plate (Kally), we all crowded around staring at it, he ran out thinking we was gonna vandalise it lol.

Dream can man, E30 M3, never happening with the prices they go for :(
