In the attic!
Bought a new splitter, tried to remove the old one with a bit of pulling but its on really tight.

I could pull a bit harder but afraid i might damage the bumper:doh:

Anyone ever done it before? Is there a nak to it? Or does it just pop off?

Yeah mine used to do that!

Anyway, i just went out with some grips and yanked at a corner! Sure enough it just popped away!:)

Fitting the new one was piss! The only tough bit is the 2 center plugs, just bench-press them in and viola!;)

I've removed 2 so far....

One on a metal gate peg whilst doing about 10mph...
and the other with a bit of help from an NCP car park ramp :ban:

Also had problems getting new one on, until I saw the "experts" do it... they jus hit it alot harder than I had

start right at the side of the bumper by the wheel pull the splitter towards you and work you wa7 round to the front. Do the same on the other side. You will only have the two big center pillars holding it on. Get a big pair of pliers and a cloth put the cloth in the pliers and clamp the pillar from the front and lever down. Its hard work but you can do it.

With putting the new one on. Clip all the sides on first and align then pillars up. Get a rubber mallet and put it underneath one of the pillars (under the splitter) then pull up (its very hard). Repeat for the other one.

Hope this helps!!

The two pillars are a right pest! Fitted a new splitter to my car today - sprayed some wd40 on the pillars and they slipped in nice and easy!

Cheers jus changed my splitter today this way! Easy as pie took 10 min tops. Hardest bits was the 2 pillars but jus put a bit of force into it. Looks so much better!
Thanks.

I fitted a new one recently (came with the car as the previous owner had damaged the original), I had trouble pushing the two centre clips in so cheated and used a small bottle jack I had lying around, worked a treat :)

Its easy. No grips required. Jus a few scuffed knuckles were i kept bangin them on the floor:( will be doin mine again soon. Its easier if u dont try and fit the 2pillars straight. Go in on an angle with them

Last year i did a service on my car and fitted a new splitter at the time... By 9.00pm that same day i had already ground a chunk out of it in Co-op carpark, and smashed out the centre section by hitting a rabbit at 80!
Now I just make sure its well attached and looks straight.Other than that its just not worth it!!
