Don't know Bill, the actuator has a 1 BAR spring in it. Either way it works, spools fast to 25psi, no spike with the GP set to 21.5psi and holds it, doesn't drop off at all.

ahh cool.
i might try one of these on something.. be nice to have dial a knob boost again

Plus I like the overboost protection and the boost correction (not that it needs much correction, only 12%).
Very impressed with the turbo smart, i've just ordered one myself :). I was going to get the Gizzmo IBCR but the programmable aux output and peak boost hold measurement swayed it for me.
Can you post up the connections you used for ignition live, ground and rpm input please. I'm hoping to identify these at the ecu harness.

I'll second this, could also do with knowing where to tap in to for rpm

Well I had the rpm wire left over from the previous Apexi AVC-R install, which I marked, so it was dead easy for me. The wire goes to the back of the instrument binnacle, the rev counter, can't remember which wire it is though, I'm sure I found the answer to this on Vortex though.

Gave the car a bit of a spring service as it has been sitting all winter, plus I was getting a slight misfire above 6500rpm, so I swapped out the MAF sensor and coilpacks, and fitted a new set of plugs, now the misfire is gone. Oil and filter change next week and new brake pads and fluid going in too. After that I am giving the car a full detail and machine polish.

Happy to report all 4 spark plugs look normal, so the previous oil leak I had on No.4 cylinder is gone since the rebuild. No oil or water is being used either, it's all good so I am happy I rebuilt the engine correctly. :)

I also changed my air filter from a K&N to the Jetex FR-08001 cone filter, after reading a test which showed the Jetex was the best flowing cotton gauze air filter. Blue matches my car too! :D

Car is now 100% issue-free, feels very strong on boost and pulls hard to the redline smoothly and cleanly, feels great at 25psi. :)

Hope you don't mind be posting this rob.

Wire for the rev counter is the green wire with brown stripe on the blue connector going in to the instrument cluster.
