Left my Brembos to dry for most of Saturday and today. Alloys now back on but have not moved it yet, leaving it overnight then take it to work in the morning, just as an extra chance for lacquer to dry fully.

Still working on painting the stitching on my 225 Steering Wheel, taking forever but think it looks so much cleaner and newer with it painted. Sadly the pictures don't do it much justice, looks far better in person. The right hand side has had 5 coats, the left hand side has had 1 coat.

I hope to have the stitching done for when I get my car back after it's respray and bumper repair. Goes in on Saturday :D

good work with the wheel. when i did mine i washed my stitching and it came out like new. i did it with washing powder in a glass of warm water and dipped a cloth in then scrubbed the stitching.

this is how i bought it

after washing the wheel and stitching

then i used the cherry blossom wax, used leather protector by auto glym. then 5 coats of red on the strip.
end result

need any tips then just ask

Cheers Sam. My wheel was refurbished in Poland so it got new leather on and the reason I'm having to paint the stitching is because the thread used is Sylko which has a black twill through it. So washing it would have done nothing :( Never mind, I will get there!

Thanks Sam, tried being a bit artistic lol. Good thing with sealing my alloys is that when I use my power washer, the brembos become slightly sealed from the water off alloys so you get some beading on them too! :)
