Got rest of parts that i need now to hopefully fix these f***ing leaks, i'm a gas fitter and haven't had this many leaks at work all year, will be 2 wks on sunday that she's been off rd, had to buy a new battery today as well, the list is GROWING aaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrggggggggggghhhhhhhhhh
Yep, if i remember right it was a H valve from the Audi TT. Will not bother with one of them again.
They dont look that good to me as both the end cap and pipe are rubber, which imo wont tighten up correctly as they will squash with being rubber on rubber
Have you noticed a big difference now its sorted?...glad its done m8

Well im pi**ed off wi these leaks now, sorted dipstick tube and fitted new Y shaped pump thing under inlet mani and its still leaking, can hear it but cant feel or see it bubbling, sounds like its near the tip area but low down but im testing where intercooler hose joins onto charge pipe, is their a way of testing the N75 valve?...

Mate, I would just get a smoke Boost test done, it only cost me £25 and it will find every single leak to have in Five minutes. If you can change the N75 valve do it, they fail and give readings just like a boost leak but no Faults will show in VAG COM, when mine failed it had an indent in the lower pipe which go's into the TIP and can be an indication of a F%$Ked N75 valve.

I'm going to have a go at doing this myself as I need to rule out a leak as one of my problems. By doing this from the charge pipe to IC hose, which hoses does it miss out that you will manually need to check? Also, do you need to block off the charge pipe or leave that open? Thirdly, can you use a tyre foot pump to do this?

I think I will buy these, saves on the trouble of finding an end cap and the jar is essentially beaded.

And the turbo to charge pipe hose but this is easily checked by eye.
that jar will more than likely collapse under the pressure, all plumbing hardware stores stock the correct pipe for only a few quid, it a pretty universal size/type of pipe.

I just found an Vitamin C supplement pot in my desk draw at work, it's white PVCu, robust and guess what...it's 61mm OD with a bead around the top where the lid goes. JOB DONE!. My friend (Mechanic) is picking me up a black rubber tyre valve tonight and my step-Dad is sorting me out a pressure guage so I'll be leak testing this weekend .
Any input on using a tyre foot pump for this? I don't have access to a compressor.

Is there anybody around the Reading area (or Hertfordshire/Barnet this weekend, or Guildford area next weekend) who has made this, knows how to fix the problems and fancies testing my car for me please? As if I had a go at this I would end up screwing it up, and even if I did manage to test it I wouldnt have a clue how to fix whatever the problem was!
I would happily drive to theirs and sort out some beer money/whatnot. Would really put my mind at rest on my leak.

The foot pump will work but will take longer and if there is a leak it will be harder to build pressure, i used a bicycle pump one day when i was stuck.Remember to also test the boost leak tester when pressure builds, just spray some soapy water on it.
Also most leaks i found where tracked down by the sound of escaping air(try and do the test in a quiet area) and the smaller ones were found by spraying soapy water on the pipe or joint etc..
I'm in the Reigate area, if my tester works then your welcome to come down my way and use it. I won;t be able to fix your issue though, this will only highlight where it is and then it's up to you to buy the necessary hose, gasket etc.
