How old are you?

Back in post #110 I said:
Just closer to 60 than 50 and echo the earlier 'who cares about age' sentiments :)

Been interested in cars and motorsport all my life, but family committments meant that after the cars of my youth, more modest forms of transport were necessary! Only really got to enjoying my cars after turning 50-ish. Mid-life crisis? Maybe, but each car since has been the best I've ever owned, and the current Cupra is top of the list :)

And three years later the last sentence is still true with the new Cupra :)

Im 25 Had SEAT's since i was 22 and i really appreciate the drive of them...

As im not bothered by the slightly more sporty suspension setups they have...

Wouldnt bother me if i was alot older either as long as you like the car you are driving who cares!!

Just round the corner.
Thats quite good adam! Ma insurance is just mental lol thats what i get for being daft at 18 lol

i am 22 and pay 440 a month for my k1 insurance lol

I payed £570 for last years insurance! But I suppose being 32 this year helps, and the fact the mrs is the main driver (she drives it all week to work), and don't do massive mileage all helps

This is my first so far, I got it for peanuts so thought why not but I'm enjoying it and it's a bit different from most too, just needs a bit of tuning to get more oomph.:)

Guys
Im getting some some stick at work for choosing such a "young looking car"
(Leon FR TDi, Black, 18in alloys, Bluetooth, Armrest)
Comments like "are you having a mid life crisis" are being thrown around.
All very funny for the idiots making them, but its got me thinking -
At 43 am I too old to be driving this car?
I would be interested to here your ages and comments please.
Andy

I'm 45 and had had my FR for 2 years now, don't take any notice as they sound jealous to me....it's a TDi not a GTi anyway so surely it can't be that quick.....or can it

i'm 22, 23 in June....probs too young for the car if anything, 5 door diesel :S lol

But my motto is always this....................

"Growing Old is Mandatory, Growing Up is Optional"

We all know men never grow up....as what would be left in life if we didn't have school boy humour!? lol

They're all just jealous....my old man's soon to turn 55, and he's just ordered a a 500 Abarth.....

Boys and their Toys!! :D

33 years of age, 34 in May, and I have a 60 plate Leon Cupra R. £300 for me and the wife per year to insure with the wife using it for commuting.
Had my firts Seat when I was 26 and it was a ibiza cupra tdi with stage 2 tuning and set up.

Thats harsh. I was 19(20 yesterday lol) when I got my FR and it costs me £960 (with a stage 1 remap declared) for the year! thats with 0ncb and 3 claims on my file.

Harsh?! HARSH!! Try £880 for a 46 year old w/ no points and 3 years NCB (two claims) on a standard FR TDi!

LOU ROB - So a die hard Seat fan then! Dunno if i'd ever buy another Seat after this one, a bit too cheap and cheerful...

No, not really. Had a few cars since getting rid of the Ibiza (although I had the ibiza for 4 years and it never missed a beat). I had a toyota auris sr180, corsa vxr and skoda fabia vrs since.
It's just I fancied a return to Seat as i'd been keeping an eye on the Cupra R since it was announced, so when released, I bought one (and the wife loves it, so thats a bonus).
