Gutted! Just typical you get a new car then it gets assaulted by a bloody pot hole.

Hope they can do something with it for you, they can't all be bent back into shape.

I assume the spare you have is a spacesaver/steely? Wouldn't it be good if you could just pop a brand new alloy out of the boot!

You're getting not far off double my mpg.

What's the comfort rear wiper by the way?

The spare is a steely unfortunatley Hopefully it can be bent back into shape, its not a very severe dent, just a flat spot. Will phone about it tomorrow.

Comfort rear wiper is as has been described below. It's actually really useful.

The rear wiper comes on automatically when reverse is engaged if the front wipers are on!

It can be enabled on all Ibiza's through vag-com though

It can't be enabled on all Ibiza's i dont think. Think it was just pre-facelift ones that it could be enabled on the last time i read up on it. I think mine has it cos i've got the auto wipers? Maybe just a case of the Seat parts bin lottery ha ha.

Unlucky about the alloy Ross, hope it can be sorted

Same sort of luck as me, after only a few weeks with my FR I burst a tyre going over a pothole! Luckily no damage done to the actual alloy.

Car looks really good in white too, would have been my other choice other than black!

Yeah, white is really rare, that's the best bit about the car imo.

I tried it on my ebay cable and it wouldn't work, i think you need the full one

Stupid ebay cable does'nt work at all with me. Not tried it on the new car yet, but i'm not getting my hopes up.

Just went out and programmed my rear wiper, works a treat!
However, I think it might be pre-facelift only from reading that thread.
It only wipes once - when you first select reverse, doesn't do it continuously.

Probably will be because you have auto wipers, thus a rain sensor.

Us lot without rain sensors/auto wipers probably don't get it as standard then, I suppose it's just there in the coding if you want it.

I'm going to see if mine will play ball in a few mins!

Can't get the licence to turn 'green' writing. Also, on the very rare occasion that i have managed to get it to work, when i try to do a scan, it comes up with an error and has to close. Very annoying.

I think i remember sending you the link to the crack a while back but you couldn't get it working? On my laptop it seems a bit temperamental , have you kept at it?

So it sounds to me like you've paid the $99 for the license then?

If so, in an e-mail from Ross-Tech you should have received a file, which acts a license which you have to drop *somewhere* into the VCDS program folder.

I think the other problem you have with the program closing is a seperate issue.

Yeah you did send me the link via pm and it did work a couple of times but the issue with the program closing was making it unusable (if thats a word!)

No, i was a cheapskate and did'nt buy the licence ha ha. Maybe there is some sort of security feature causing the vagcom to close?

Yeah, i'll try and fit them at the weekend if i manage to get my uni work done during the week. I went for 6k ones as i thought that was the best balance between yellow/blue.

Cheers, yeah white is really rare it seems. Alloy is in at the Wheel Specialist in EK to get un-buckled, going to cost £25 which is a pretty fair price i think.

I took my HID's out as I could never replicate the beam pattern of standard bulbs and this annoyed me. I can't deny that they do provide a better light on the road but in the end they just weren't for me, I don't really miss them either even though I had them in for over a year.

So far im impressed with mine but i understand what your saying about the beam pattern it feels like i have full beam on when i dont

So went to pick up the alloy first thing this morning, knew when i was approaching the guy that it was bad news, said it was not repairable. Gutted. Trying to source a new one so if anybody has one that they are selling email me on [email protected]. Nearly got a brand new one on ebay earlier, but missed it by £1, so if your on here, i hate you lol! Seat have quoted me £217.33 for a brand spanking one, but i don't see myself paying that tbh, will phone round the scrappys tomorrow. Going to claim the cost off the council, guy at the wheel specialist said quite a few folk he knows has been sucessful in getting their loss paid for.

Ross, I personally know the bloke in the above article... I think there's a good chance you'll be reimbursed for the cost of an alloy but you're going to have to dig your camera out and submit quite a lot of evidence.

No luck Ross These alloys are pretty expensive, and like hens teeth as you will have seen!
