i know halfords is not the best place to for filters, but i've pretty much run out of money now, so its just to tide me over and get a nice bov noise

what size do i need? and do i need any adators or anything?

Just eBay '70mm air filter' and just get a pipercross one or something. Wouldn't bother with halfords poop. Be similar price aswell
