This is gonna sound strange, but would you be able to do a quick test for me next time you have a spare 2 mins or so and roughly count how many metres your dipped bulbs produce onto the road infront? obvioulsy when stationary and when they lights are on lol.

Mine still seem extremely short. Love the OSRAMs but they still don't look like they produce loads of meters infront of the car. It doesn't seem to reach as far as yours do in the pic.

No worries Char will send you a PM when I've done it, probably be a week Saturday

Hello mate, love the car, it looks gorgeous! Have a quick question though, did you ever find out what the mystery bulbs were? Sorry if you've already answered and i've missed it.

Thanks

Yeah found them on ebay in the H4 size i need ;) I'll hold off buying 'em yet though, got night breakers in atm, they only been in since November so ill buy the Ultra H4s next month and fit 'em come winter again. Most of the driving i do is at night, i work nights you see.

Im from Dunstable mate, and nice, how low are you going to go? Think you should go along the lines of that photoshop pic, low, black alloys, stealth! Would look sweet!

Ahh I see, cool cool.

I was going to go like the photoshop, lowering would have been 35mm but just got off to my insurance and they want to add an extra £110 on the policy and a £250 compulsory excess which I honestly can't afford to take at the moment so lowering is off :(

I feel the same mate, I want to make sure the car is all legit but it seems to cost a fortune. I'm with Direct Line at the moment but am tempted to switch after that kind of price

Legit is the way to go! I'm 18 with one years no claims bonus and i paid over £2.5k to renew and it is coming back round again in september! I've heard mixed views on Direct Line, people my age like them because they tend to be 'cheap' (for people my age, but i use that lightly, cheap as in less than £3k or more with some insurance companies charge). But when people are older they seem to just get all they can out of you. Hope you get it all sorted mate because you have a real sweet looking ride. The spoiler is a great way to finish that back end!

Woah! 2.5k?!

I've just had my renewal, LV being generous made it cheaper by £1 a month which was £704 in total for the year. Not going with them again. Managed to get it cheaper by £200, £53 a month with Diamond and with my Mum on the insurance as another driver. I know that seems a lot cheaper than 2.5k!

Its pretty disgusting sometimes how expensive it is for guys your age, my brother was paying nearly £2k for his corsa sxi and being 18 like you.

That's nothing my brothers just bought a 1.2 pug the insurance for his is 4500 for a year first car just. I live in a pretty posh area but everyone has very expensive cars which are prone to theft and vandalism meaning expensive insurance for everyone around my area
