Seat Leon rear washer Help

The rear washer pipe appears to have come off and it's not disconnected at the tailgate, as i've managed to check this. Appears come off lower as water in the boot and coming out, under the drivers rear arch.

Was wondering if anyone could run me through (with pics if possible) the procedure for removal of the rear nearside trim etc to get to the junction/union which may have popped off.

fixed this on mine last week, 2 screws on the drivers side rear plastic (the part that the parcel shelf sits in) remove these and pull the panel towards you e.g. towards the passenger side you will then see (at the left) a plastic clip with a wire on, the pipe should be connected to this also. this is where the connector is tricky to push back together!

Anyone got any pics of this, as its very near the air bag and am a bit concerned about it...

Any other help you can offer would be appreciated.

Your right about the pipe being fiddly to reconnect and, have cable tied it to help
prevent it coming off again...

A year later on and I had exactly the same problem after the recent arctic like weather. This thread saved me a lot of pain! I remember trying the rear washer several times while it was frozen so had blown the connector by the rear seatbelt on the driver's side.

I found that by using some long nose pilers to hold the forward side of the pipe I could then use my right hand to push on the rear side of the pipe and did it all in about 15 mins and still have all my fingers!

Another interesting point is that while testing afterwards I thought I had somehow broken the windscreen wipers and front washer as these did not work at all. I had the bonnet uncatched (but not open). As soon as I shut the bonnet they started working!!

It only comes off if the screenwash freezes.

this happened to me today, rear washer been blocked for a while, put a load of screenwash in the washer tank and was attempting to "pump" the solution through with the stalk when the pitch of the pump changed and all the screenwash got dumped underneath the car, too dark to give this a bash tonight but i'll give it a go tomorrow

Mine has done this twice in the last 6 weeks abit of a crap idea

It would appear a lot of you are using cheap/diluted screen wash?? halfrauds do a mix that takes freeze values down to -65deg, the average screen washer mix only goes down to -4 deg. and bearing in mind that a new pump is around £25.00, NOT including removal / fitting rates, it would be cheaper to buy a stronger washer mix. - I have just got though both my cars and made up a winter mix that will cover me down to -20 deg. Also another reminder, lift off front /rear wiper blades before clearing ice and switching wipers on. - motors and arms will set you back around £130 ea. ............................................................

Yeah I agree that extra strong screenwash is the answer but the only problem is it lifts every bit of polish off your paintwork!
You can't win really it either freezes or isn't good to paint.
