is this silicone t.i.p any good ?

hi, i am after buying a t.i.p for my mk3 ibiza cupra i know the best one to get would be a forge one, but i have seen one on ebay for £80 just would like to know does anyone use this one themselfs is it any good? or is it best to stick with getting the forge one. cheers

I have very limited knowledge of this, but I believe (and I may be way off) that the standard TIP collapses under the vacuum caused by the turbo under load, therefore restricting the airflow to the turbo and limiting its performance. These silicone ones and much stronger and don't collapse, therefore allowing much greater airflow to the turbo and in turn, greater performance from the turbo. Again, I may be way off due to my limited knowledge as I'm basing this on my background in ventilation.

not quite right the standard TIP is a rubber hose that then conect to a metal elbow bolted onto the turbo, the reason it makes a huge difference is that the metal elbow on the turbo is very small and restrictive, therefore the silicone one helps the flow.

The standard tip can collapses under high boost have movie when it happend..But the poor flow it makes since it`s very tin at the middle is the biggest issue.Evry thing is better then a standard tip
