I'd be tempted to keep it standard. Get the scratches sorted and keep the miles low. Its the makings of a collectors piece. Think they are getting hard to find in this non-modded condition. Top spec too :)

Enjoy

I dont think its possible to not mod one of these. I always said mine would stay the way it was when I bought it! but after a couple of weeks on SCN I caught the bug  and had no money ever since :D

Very nice:D

Hope it serves you well!

Thank you :) I hope so too!

Onward and upward as they say! You've got a good starting point with that one though. ;)

Thanks Mark, chuffed to bits :D

You are totally right and I could not agree with you more, it's pretty rare with the mileage and extras. If I do mod it, it will be mods that can be removed for sale, but I have no intensions of selling up! Im gonna keep it looking OEM. ;)

Tough call because I kinda agree with that but can't not mod the LCR. So many decent upgrades out there from Forge and the like which really improve the car noticeably.

No LCR should be without an 007p though, lol.

I agree, in two minds about this  I have a 007p so sorted!

Im gonna keep it OEM and simple. I don't want to put any strain on the engine so Stage 2 Remap might not be happening in the future. Unless I get bored of it :p

I already have that list!

Not really an update but posting it anyway! Noticed one night at work that my rear windows were pretty gummed up. So checked the rear footwells and they were only slightly damp, nothing at all really but decided to get this sorted before it gets any worse.

My trusty personal mechanic helped me with this!

Then yesterday I decided to put my dehumidifier in the car for a whole day to dry it out.

Cleaned Engine Bay up although it's pretty immaculate already!

Hope to get my HIDs fitted soon and looking at either a BMC CDA or Open Cone to replace Standard Airbox.

Kat, the BMC's are awful. Restrictive and way too pricey!

Save yourself half the money of a BMC and go for a Jetex setup from Bill @ Badger5.

So happy with mine. Sounds the nuts too on boost ;)

All you need ontop is the heatshield from Jabbasport or Neuspeed to secure it down nice and tight. Check my readers ride for pics of all the bits and once fitted if you like.

Never saw this till now Kat!

Very nice car :), and I am so chuffed you got what you wanted after so many years! Also glad you got the chance to go out in Willies car as it shows what these are capable of.

My dream car was/is an Escort Cosworth, but they are still a lot of £££'s for a decent one, and you have to consider they are at least 14-18 years old now! Maybe one day though!

Regarding the HID's - if you have not already bought them, be aware that they will constitute an MOT fail from the end of next year.

Will have to get those measurements across to you soon so you can work your magic by the way :cheeky: (will be interesting to see what people make of that statement :cartman::lol:)

Oh and Blue Bess is now grey :(

Thanks for the heads up Tom, much appreciated :D:clap:

I had a Jetex on my old Cupra and also loved the sound. I will have a look at yours as would quite like a heatshield.

Thanks again :)

I've already got my HIDs, had them for two months but still not got them fitted. This time my 'talent' has been outbeaten

Theres no hurry as I can always come over and measure

The jabba sport heat shield comes highly recommended from
Me it's very well made and if you buy the jabba induction kit it comes with a Jetex filter now I think, the neuspeed kit looks flimsy and poorly made imo

Aye he's a rather good source of info, and a bad influence!

I have no idea WHAT you mean by that.... :bleh:

Car looks fantastic Kat, how lucky are you getting one with the Satnav and the bum-hugging Recaros!

Will be keeping an eye on this thread for any developments, after seeing how well you looked after your Cupra its fair to say this one will be mint :)

 Big turbos and intercoolers if I remember correctly

I didn't realise how lucky I was until I searched on here, and with the mileage I think it's fair to say Im the luckiest girl in the world :D

My Cupra was in pretty good nic, spent many hours on it! 39 hours in Machine Polishing!

By next summer I hope to have this one as near to 'Perfect' as I can get it, wish me luck

Thanks :)

It gets in from the front door. I siliconed the seal behind the door card and checked the drains under the door but they weren't blocked. I did this on my old Cupra too and never had any more water after siliconing the two front doors :)

Looks very nice and I'm glad you have the car that you wanted, finally :).

I'm also an '03 owner and bought mine with just 20k on the clock. I agree that low mileage examples are hard to find and are more desirable to prospective buyers however, when you buy a car that you love and want to enjoy, figuring out ways to keep the miles low kind of goes out of the window unless like me and it's a Sunday car only. IMO, you should never buy a car if you are concered about its value come resale time, if that's the case then buy year old models, keep for a year and then resell for another (I do know some people who do this).

I think that most of the mods on your 'to do' list are along the same route that I have taken mine, Kat. Like you, I have no cut or altered anything permanently, it's all bolt on parts and I spend way too much time keeping the car in top top condition. Have a look at my build thread for some ideas :)

Yeah it was 39 hours, was hard going but worth it! I hope I get it perfect, it is my dream car after all :) Will spend as much money on it as needed to get it to what I want.

I intend to spend as many hours as needed! A week off work will be booked in April to get her in top shape which will include a respray.

Yeah, my old Cupsy baby was perfect :( But I got myself a deal I couldn't refuse and a car I apsolutely love, Roll on the detailing!!

Cheers Jay. Yeah, I do 28 miles a day so the miles will go up until next August when I move in with my OH. Hopefully by then it wont be anymore than 37k miles. I will be keeping it for at least 5 years or so, so Im not really bothered about resale value as obviously there will be a considerate drop! I did get it dirt cheap however ;)

I will definately be having a look at your thread, always keen for ideas! Thanks!

I would be very keen on the 225 wheel Wayne, VERY! Also let me know what else you have at time of sale ;)

Still can't believe you are considering selling, your car is gorgeous!
