After having seen my first LCR back in 2002 when I was only 14, I instantly knew that was the car I wanted. After what feels like a lifetime of a wait (8 years!) I have finally had my dream come true. This is my 3rd car, and all have been SEATs in Flash Red. First was a 2002 mk4 Ibiza 1.2, then a 2004 Leon Cupra 1.8T, and now finally my Leon Cupra R.

I bought the LCR on October 22nd 2010 and travelled a long way to get it. I flew from Aberdeen Airport to Leeds/Bradford Airport, where the owner met me and drove me back to his house. I knew the car wasn't in 'perfect' condition as he told me about everything on the many phone calls we had. After a good look over, I bought it for £6400 and then headed off on my 340 mile journey back home to Aberdeenshire. That didn't bother me though, as it only had 27,997 miles on the clock!

Came with a Full SEAT service history, all receipts from new, 4 new Pirelli P-Zero Tyres with all 4 Alloys refurbished. To say Im chuffed to bits is an understatement!

Hey Kat I was wondering what car you were getting next heh, glad you've gone SEAT again, the new car looks a beast. I love the interior and it looks very tidy, I think those MK2 leon badges look the business too

Thanks Stezo To be honest I don't think I would have anything else but SEAT, and has to be Flash red for me Interior and Engine Bay are spotless, really happy with it Im currently in two minds as to remove the 'L E O N' badge and replace it with the 'C U P R A' one, with the 'R' badge in bottom corner. Not going to do much to it until after winter.

Thanks Well both bumpers are scuffed down to the plastic, and the front has a crack under the foglight. The drivers door also has a dent on it which will be removed when I get the bumpers done after winter. Theres a few deep scratches but Im hoping I can machine polish them out. If not will get them resprayed too.

Ah well, hope you get that all sorted out ok, still not bad for an 03 plate though!

Its very different. Its got heavier steering (prob due to lower profiles), it feels more tight and I find it handles better, doesn't have so much body roll as the LC did. Plus it's about 80bhp more so it feels much faster

It feels so different, hard to exlain how different if Im honest. I prefer it to my Old Cupra but it was still a great car, will miss it.

I've still actually got it although it is sold, Im waiting for my Private Plate to be transferred. See your from my neck of the woods, you should come to a meet sometime, check the Scotland Meet section. Wont be much now thats it's winter but sometimes is some in Aberdeen.

I know, I had no intensions of buying one until next summer, but thought it was too good an example to miss out on!
A meet would be good for you to attend as you often get taken out in others cars, and some of theirs are just amazing! Totally makes you want to modify/upgrade parts on your own tho so can be costly! lol

I get out in one from here regularly since I work with him, csd_19 I think is his member name, a Copper LC, its all his fault Im looking to ugrade! I've been looking at intercoolers and all sorts this weekend.

Good taste hun. I'm exactly the same, I couldn't imagine myself having something other than SEAT/VAG. It's weird how you mentioned seeing a LCR when you were younger and wanted one, I always liked the Leon when it first came out, never imagined owning a SEAT

Yeah I love them, especially the seats. Looks the business, from the pictures it looks perfect. Shame about the bumpers needing painting though i'm sure you got her for a good price

Yeah I think you should get the 'C U P R A' badges with the new 'R', that would look awesome. A lot of people thing debadging looks good but I'm more of a fan of re-badging myself

Yeah, got it for a good price, and the guy gave me paint for the bumpers so only have labour to pay. He had all intensions of doing it but just didn't have the time in the end. The alloys were refurbished the night before I picked it up so that was a total bonus.
