N249 Bypass What Resistor?

Hi,
I've done the N249 bypass but i want to take the valve out completely. I understand that the valve needs to be plugged in so that the ECU doesn't throw a hissy fit. What resistor can i put in place of the N249?
Thanks
Rich

How do you wire the resistor in? Do you cut the connector off the end of the wires and just solder the resistor between the two? Or is there a clever solution that would allow you to reinstate the N249 should you wish?

You could cut the wires, fit spade or bullet connectors to the wires. Solder the wires to the resistor with tails and fit bullets or spades to that, so you can unplug the resistor and refit the N249 if you wish.

Good thinking, cheers Rob. Is that what you've done?

I've cut the wires and soldered in a resistor but I am still getting a fault code. Am I missing something?

You will still get the fault code but it shouldn't bring on the engine managment light.

Paul does it bring on the engine light?? Only i fancy doing this but hate engine lights on lol! Not fussed if its 'just' a fault code though as i know why its there! Cheers
