Well Isabella has an unusual problem........

Basically the car starts, for about 1-2 seconds, then cuts out. The out of the blue it'll start up and drive perfectly.

This happens very rarely so is hard to source the problem, and when it does, sometimes it'll start after leaving it for a couple of minutes or will not start until the RAC engineer is trying to figure it out! He thought it could be something electrical, i.e. the ECU telling the engine to shut off..........

Plus I've noticed this only ever happens during the cold season...........

and over to you!

if you keep getting it see if you can fault read anything signal wise on the immobiliser - could be the reader coil on the barrel but relays cheaper :p

For the cost of a FP relay, I'd just swap a new one in and see if that solves things. :)

True, worth it...........though I will never know if it is fixed because this happens randomly lol.
Happened a few weeks ago, and then a fair few months before that

my car does something like this, but its not just cold weather.

i start it, then the revs go down to 700 and it starts juddering but then comes back to life after about 3 seconds.

im guessing something with the fuel sender or pump thats not getting fuel to the engine?
can someone clarify :)

Theyre on the bulk head. Pop the rain tray off and you can get to all its bolts. Pretty easy swap i think.

Follow the lead from the centre of the dizzy to the bulkhead and theres your coil pack
