Hi Guys

Got a sense of deja vu here! Back in September 2008 i purchased my first MK4 TDI but unfortunatly in November 2008 the car was involved in an accident and written off. Ever since then i have been waiting and saving my pennies for the right time......

Today i went to view a nice black TDI PD130. I loved it as soon as i saw it and even more so when i drove the car.

72,000 miles
Full Seat Service history
2 Previous owners

I have already spoken to Will at P-Torque, and will hopefully be getting the car booked in for a stage1 remap within the next few weeks.

I have left a deposit on the car but will have to travel the 160mile round trip to collect the car in the next few days (Which is worth it!)

Here is the pics from the advert (I will get better when i've got the car home)

stafford road by motor way island mate

Ah ha by the Esporta? If so you will most likely see me about as my gf lives around that area.

Will keep my eyes peeled.

Looks like i will be picking the car up sometime next week now. The chap has agree'd to put 6 months tax on it for me so all is good.

Will go out and make sure i have got my cleaning stuff stocked up this weekend.

But unfortunatly both cars suffered some damage on the M6 on the way back home.

Something flicked up and put a hole through the drivers side lower grill on the Ibiza(So im on the look out for one of those) and as i looked up to check what it was......

It put my moms fog light out!

But been driving the Ibiza non stop since getting it! I am loving the 60MPG!

Well i have been driving the Ibiza for a few weeks now. Loving being back in a nice comftable car.

I have changed my aerial for a modified Civic Type R one (No pics)

And also since buying this car i have always planned to get it remapped. I have been on the phone to Will today at p-torque (Who remapped my old ibiza to 175bhp and 308lbft of torque). And Will has managed to squeeze me in on Friday afternoon.

Can't wait to get it remapped as i have been kicking about in my mates 200bhp cdti astra and it feels a world apart from mine now.

Will post up the results on friday.

Its been a while since i've updated my progress.

I had my car remapped at p-torque and made a nice 180bhp and 315lbft of torque. But before i got the car mapped the clutch was slipping and got gradually worse after the remap so next purchase was a Sach uprated clutch kit.

whilst the car was in getting the clutch done the mechanics noticed my front coilspring was missing half a coil!! So i headed home and as cash was a little tight i ordered some Jamex 35mm springs. I fitted the springs and well...........it was stupidly low! so i checked the code on the box and the part code was for a polo 1.2, 1.4!!!

So i ordered some new Spax 30mm lowering springs and the Jamex will be getting returned. Received and fitted the springs yesterday and the car looks much better i think.

Well i haven't updated the thread for while......mostly because i haven't actually done anything to the car but drive it.

I have had the Sach clutch in the car since end of June and done 5000miles so can safely say its bedded in. Its a great clutch worth the money even if it did sting my wallet for a while.

I have replaced the front tyres. I have always been a Michelin man (not literally, im like 3 stone wet!) I decided i would try some Rainsport 2's as i heard good things about them. After popping in to my mates work i ended up coming out with 2 Goodyear GS-D3 for £140fitted (With the fugly weights on the outside of the wheels removed!). I think i am now converted to Goodyear!

Tonight i chucked a sponge at the car as it was pure filth!

And a few pics of the recent changes:

Debadged apart from TDI

Grille surround sprayed black

Aero flat wiper blades as my old ones were just smeering the water around the screen!

I got myself some 6000K Hids from diane-shop on ebay

DSC01792.jpg

And finally.... After my old man driving my car he loved it and went and traded his Civic type R in for an FR

I am only planning to do a few more changes........but im sure that will change

MK5 Polo rear wiper to replace the much spreader
Rear spacers (Unsure how wide?)
Would also like the bump strips coded
Possibly pressed plates

Well well well its been a long time !

I thought i would finally update my progress thread

Since my last update i have:

Fitted 20mm rear spacers

Decatted
Fitted AP Coilovers roughly 45mm front and 60mm rear
312mm TT Brakes and lines
Seat sport strut brace

Here are some pics from today (Very dirty but will explain later)

Last week i attended a West Midlands Rolling road day at P-torque where my car made 190bhp and 310lbft of torque. I was very happy with my result ! Until.....

I spotted a PD150 Hybrid turbo, Seat sport intercooler and Pipework for sale.

I left a deposit and made the 200mile round trip to collect them from South Wales this morning (Why the car is filthy)

I will be looking to fit the intercooler first and then a few weeks later the turbo and another remap (Hopefully the next day)

Will try and keep my progress upto date now.

Very nice! Never seen this car on here before, looks really well. Your car seemed to sit very well on those lowering springs!

More power on the way eh, should turn it into a bit of a weapon. :)

Thanks matey ! Yea i don't post very much but will try keep this updated now. The springs were 30mm Spax but as most mk4 owners find the sits just that little too high.

Oh yes more power ! Im sure i told myself up there ^ i wasn't going to do much more !

Been speaking with will at p-torque about a custom map once everything fitted.

looking good mate have you noticed any difference?, is it me or does your bumper cover the majority of the FMIC up?

Cheers mate. I haven't driven all that far yet but definatly feels to hold boost for longer. Yea unfortunatly the bumper does cover alot of the fmic, would go much better behind a fr bumper.
