Thanks for the link martin... lol you're not wrong its not cheap! But you get what you pay for judging by the results. Just noticed your exhaust tip, very nice indead, care i say the nicest Leon exhaust tip i've ever seem.... you got it custom made at Hayward & Scott right? How do they compare to miltek, blueflame etc.. on price?

The lack of choice of pre-made exhaust has got me considering quality made custom exhausts as a viable option. Plus its nice to be a bit different, and i've heard nothing but good things about Hayward & Scott.

You do get what you pay for with C4 indeed.

Thanks for the comment on the exhaust. It was built to my specifications by H&S and worth every penny. I must admit they are not cheap but you get what you pay for and their work is probably one of the best out there...Not sure you can really compare them to Miltek and Blueflame cause they don't mass produce (I think). I would say there work is superior but then I would be bias seeing as they done such a good job with mine.

I am glad people approve of it.

I think i'll give Hayward & Scott a call when i want a new exhaust and see what sort of money im looking at.

C4 is a must have for me now. I don't think I would use any other product for exterior trim.

Rear 256mm Brake Upgrade Update

Its been a week since I have had the brakes fitted. I must admit I was pretty worried that about the bedding in as there was a lot of peddle travel. The brakes were bled correctly but it takes a while for the rear pads to bed onto the 2nd hand brakes discs. I cant really complain as I got discs that arnt even 1/4 of there life and pads that look like new.

So 200 or so miles in and brakes were slow to bed in. I would say they started feeling better 3 days in. Instead of the peddle traveling 75% it traveled 50%. on the 7th Day I followed Kenny @ AmD to his house. He was driving his 500BHP Cosworth (that thing is so fast then when he floored it, it felt like my car wasn't moving). I think following him made me use the brakes a hell of a lot more than usual as the peddle feel is only traveling 25% more than I would like it to. Today on some occasions I would say that it has returned to normal but I need to drive the car a bit more to be 100% and see if the brakes need to be bled again. I am sure they will be fine.

I wont comment on performance and save it for my review of the braking system.

My car did this too. Ended up being the master cylinder gone. I managed to pop some seals in it when bleeding my brembos.

I dont think master cylinder has gone as peddle feel is almost there now the rears have bedded in. Might just need another blead of the system or even more mileage to be done.

Might be time to get rid

Car really let me down today. Done a day of shopping and on the way home turbo outlet pipe has popped off. Feel I have cone to the end of my tether with this constant battle to keep the car quick an stop pipes popping/weeping/connecting/sealing/rubbing/fitting.

Going to have a long hard think as to whether I want to keep the car. I wanted to get it to a stage whereby I can go to the ring, track day and maybe a magazine shoot but that target is all but gone for me.

Wow - that really did upset you. Did this lead to you making a Fiesta ST look quick or something equally as catastrophic ?

With everything you've done to your car mate, you must be able to do something to get these bloody pipes to stay in place. It'd be a shame to see it go due to this, but totally understandable if there really was a Fiesta involved today!

I hope you think differently once you've calmed down fella.

Has it popped off the connector which connects into the turbo outlet?? If so, dont give up, that connection and the egr one are the two weakest point now. egr one isnt a problem cause its easy to access. But what you need is a silicone joiner to connect the pipe and the silicone jonier to go over the turbo outlet and clamp down hard

Chin up maz, we've all had them days.

The car has come way too far for you to go selling it. Imagine the next owner with his gritty yellow sponge ruining your hard work lol. Plus trying to be sensible with cars just back fires, mine just cost me £300.

Its just getting harder and harder to constantly be battling with same issues having spent so much money to try and achieve something that should have been done and dusted over a couple of years now? Like I said before I ultimately want performance and reliability. I feel there isn't enough support in the market to get the car there at the moment. What do I do, pump more money into intercooler, readjusting pipework, new clips, joiners etc...? Its not like I could go to forge and persuade them to develop a whole new system for free...they wouldn't even do it cause its a diesel car.

I cant really see but I think the piping connecting to the silicone has come come away as I am getting vibration.

Only way I see to resolve problem is to take car back to Hayword and Scott.

Get them to:
1) Chop of the plastic connections to the intercooler and weld on metal piping. This is to stop weeping pipes, seals, popping connectors.
2) Weld onto the SFS turbo outlet connector a metal pipe so silicone can really clamp on. Get them to adapt piping further on the piping around that area to improve things. Still living the weak SFS clip there which will haunt me forever more unless I change turbo.

All I am seeing is £££££ going out my pocket when it should be going on a cam or a bigger turbo.

Yea but the benefits of changing are looking more appealing. Yea I know that unless another enthusiast buys the car is probably will get ruined but I could also strip off the parts. How much do you think my car is work, 39k 05 plate?

Dont give up, youve come to far to give up. These could be easy fixes, just need to set your mind to it :)
