Ibiza FR suspension

i had weitec coilovers on my ibiza and they do improve the ride loads. another good kit is the koni str kits which are around the 300 mark to and are softer then the weitec and come with a life time warranty. we have them on the arosa

Are there any differences on the top mounts for front and rear shock absorbers from FR to non FR?

Thanks all for the info coming in, really appreciated. As at the moment really wanting to get ride of the harsh ride.

i changed my 'sport' suspension to Weitec Ultra GT 30mm lowering kit which includes new dampers and springs because i was fed up of the jarring ride. I did a lot of research before fitting these as i did not want to spend £300 on this kit for it to be just marginally better - but i have to say the ride is a lot better, soaks up the bumps far better than standard and goes round corners MUCH better that before (feels more planted and safe). Although it is still noisy inside which i think is more to do with sound-proofing (of which there is nought )

coilovers = adjustability

springs and shocks = set height but generally better for comfort

Thanks. Looks like I will be getting the lowering kit at some point in the next few weeks.

As mentioned a coilover kit will give you the ability to adjust the height, a springs and shocks kit will lower the car to a set height. Coilovers do tend to be on the stiffer side and springs and shocks are more of a comfortable option but as long as you stick with a good quality make of either then you'll be fine.
