Whats the point of going right up to them when AmD are just up the road and just as helpful, if not more to go out there way to help there customers like they did for me today :) Anyway everyone has there own opinion and opinions are what count at the end of the day. If you ask me, go badger bill for the mapping on this cupra R ;)

Over the past 3 years I used them on my Golf and my Leon and never had any issues at all, and as far as I know my Leon is the first in the UK to have 3 stage launch control with traction control, wot gear shift, brake and boost and linear direct control DBW throttle mapping which is 100% unique to R- Tech

Just google r tech or spend a few mins reading there customer feeback. Not one bad bit of feedback on the web apart from the hear say a mate of a mate said post above.

Are the K1 and Ed30 the exact same spec? or is there a limiting factor on the ED30?

Liking the work your doing Paul. I remember when you first rolled up at T park with the hybrid you had just strapped onto the LCR. As others have said....choosing the right person to do mapping on the hybrid will make or break this project.

When you coming to visit us again up in the North East?

+2 for Bill. I think SCN one of the luckiest forum for having someone who contributes to the forum like Bill does. At the end of the day Bill is one of us.

all a bit strange this.

robbie smith has near enough the same set up as paul, but when asked on his rr thread who's mapping the car, he's reply was a guy who maps/ does work on the brit car championship. for which no one questioned this??

but as soon as paul mention's r t.e.c.h there's all this advice thrown his way about which mapper to use??

just can't understand why this is happening?

Cupra-rich, if i lived in the UK, i can 100% confirm Bill would be doing my MAP.I have even thought about traveling over to the UK for the weekend to visit Bill.

The mapper i use in ireland has mapped my car 4 times now and has a good rep in ireland, he is the best i could get, in this country.

that's fair comment mate was'nt questioning your choice of mapper.

was just really asking why people questioned paul choice of mapper & not your's?

That's an easy one, people choose to dislike certain people, companies, mappers, tuners, etc. often for no reason whatsoever, I've been on the receiving end of it. Alot of people suck up to certain others.

Forums can be a very strange and fickle place.

Its not a case of sucking up Rob, Bill and the likes has helped many people on this forum with advise and experience including your good self and i believe in rewading people with my custom who have helped me out. The word i'm looking for is loyalty. I may come across as a kiss ass or the like but i'm far from it, i'm just principled and maybe some of the other members feel the same.
The way Bill, myself and yourself come across on this forum is very different to how we are in the flesh and some people can like or dislike people on how they come across on a forum.

I fully agree my friend, and although certain individuals in the past have been less than amicable towards me, I don't hold grudges. Any tuner who does a good job will earn the respect of customers. Bill is probably the most active tuner on these forums and does a fine job for anyone who uses him.

I know you weren't :D, i guess People just want to see Paul get the best for his setup, as stated above everyone has different opinions and its a personal choice.
