...After spending ages taking the airbag out to fit a glovebox in you go to get something out of it and that falls apart too...

Must be. As you can see it's only the left side that's snapped. Ah well it still closes, when you push in and up slightly lol.
The whole cars falling apart, I just have images of me shutting my drivers side door and the passenger one falling off  That will be the next thing

haha yeah! It's constant! The rear number plate bulb holder keeps falling out (that square thing) The parcel shelf rubber thing has snapped, early last week I noticed my aerial was gone-god know where that's got too, and now my glovebox is having a go!
You know you have a mk2 when despite all this heartache...you still love it and say it's full of character lol

You know you have a Mk2 when your looking for a new car, but don't want to sell the Mk2, so just so it stays in the household your willing to hand it down to your not yet passed little brother who doesn't give a cr4p about cars

Because it needs an airbag to justify the insane powah of the mk2 :p
Oh I should add apparently - and this is from Seat in Stirling-the glove box on the 16v is under the steering column. Yes that tiny little cubby hole big enough to fit a breakdown cover card is the glovey

A helluva load of empty space... Had to take my glovebox out a couple of times cause someone had messed with my wiring before: My radio would only work if the lights were turned on, it wasn't linked to the ignition at all... Now it is though :D Had to take the glovebox out twice, since I couldn't get my old radio out in the first place (didn't have those handy pins at the time)
