try sending it back to Sony. Ring them up and see what they say. Otherwise you may have to get a new one.

well you either pay that or just buy a new one which is pre-owned which will be cheaper. Sony may have the ps3 for quite a while though. Other than that i don't know anywhere that can do it.

Video & electronic shops near me fix them for between 50-80 quid. You can even do it yourself by following guides on the net. I helped a friend to fix one and it's running fine now.
