Help me, what is best for me: Mk4 Ibiza Cupra TDI 160cv or Mk2 Leon 2.0 TDI 140cv?

Hello mates,
Im Andrea, 26 years old from Italy, I just introduced myself on New Member thread, so I decided to write a thread to try to help me to choose the best car for me.

As you can read in New Members section, my previous car was an Mk3 Ibiza 1.9 SDI with 68cv, equipped with the atmospheric, old, slow and noisy engine :D
Someone maybe saw it on Youtube, I posted some videos of the straight inox exhaust pipe sounding like petrol engine :D (try to search on YT "ibiza sdi exhaust".

In few words, on 3rd june my Ibiza was destroyed by a woman driving wrong way on highway, and accident involved more than 2 cars, one of these destroyed my back car, deforming chassis and leaving me no choice: destroy the car.

Because of italian laws, when more of 2 cars are involved in an accident things gets complicated, so you have to call a lawyer.
Only recently the things ended in car / body injuries refund. :)

So, now its time to buy a new car but I can't decide what car buy.

I want to buy a second hand car because its not good times here in Italy (thanks to our bad and thieves politicians [:@], first of all: Berlusconi), new cars costs too much for me and they lose their value very fast, especially Seat branded car.
I don't know if its just an italian car market fault...

By the way, I found a Seat Ibiza Cupra TDI 160cv, 2005 plate, with 30.000 kms (21,735 miles) near my city, for 8.500€, and the owner would come to my city because he have holidays house located in my city, so it would easy to check engine and status of the car before buying.

But I really like Mk2 Leon, and I'd like to buy one with 2.0 tdi 140cv engine (fr tdi 170cv cost too much and taxes are too high compared to 140cv, thanks of course to politicians and their law).
In this case its hard to find Leon near to me with low mileage at good prices, and of course I could get a Stylance one, so I have to buy wheels, tyres (17" or more, instead of stock 16"), rear and front bumpers (stylance come with stock bumpers), costing me more than initial buy price.
I dont know what to choose... Leon (I have still to find it) or Ibiza Cupra TDI?

I'm a freelance web designer so I will use my car for city drive, but sometimes I will have to travel a bit for work (60km), every sunday I go to play airsoft (30km), planning to do occasionally long trips (as Seat meeting for example, 150-300km).
So what should be best for me and my pocket?
I dont change car very often, only when its too old (8-10 years) or when some crazy women decided to crash my car backs on highways

Thanks in advance for reply!

Unless you need 5 doors I think the Ibiza Cupra will fit the bill nicer. The Leon is a cracking car and would be my choice if you needed the space both have variants of the same engine which is pretty reliable not withstanding DPF issues which I think neither have I know the Leon 140 does not have.

I would say it would be down to wanting or needing the extra perfomance the Cupra offers against a slightly bigger 5 door car. Leon may have the edge on comfort but the MK4 Ibiza I have driven in lowly 1.2 12v form was quite comfortable maybe not as stylish as the Leon interior wise.

I would try and get a good long drivce in both but my choice of the two would be the Ibiza Cupra.

This morning I will meet the owner of the Ibiza Cupra and, if the car its okay, I'm going to buy it :)
I will post a picture here if everything goes right!
I think I should open a Reader Ride's thread soon! :-D
Again, thanks for help!

I bought the Cupra!
Here "she" is!
(sorry for bad quality pictures, but I had no time to make picture with DSLR ;))
Found it with only 33.000 kilometers, xeno, rear spacers, Momo wheels, and Eibach spring fitted :)
Its pretty new inside!
