Don't know if it would work, as the power out from the radio is made to power a CD Changer? Unless you wire it up to the car battery some how?

http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=275732 << Heres how i did it.

As for charging, get yourself one of these:

Tiny little thing, works a charm.

so the power coming out of the radio meant for a cd changer would be too much for an ipod?
just after reading your tutorial earlier, looks pretty easy. great job on the tutorial btw:thumbup:
might just have to stick to the cigarette charger you posted :)

I don't know if it would be "too much", but i don't know how it would be wired, have a gander at the pinout diagram and see if you can find a way?

Tutorial needs some decent quality photos!

And the cigarette charger is good, parents sell it in their shop, so nabbed one and been using it, two leads, but with a nice little phone dock doesn't really matter, plus buy a black lead, and it blends in with the console "ish"

ah right i see what you mean
had a look at that diagram but im no use at audio so i think il keep it simple and get a cable and cigarette lighter charger:)
where would you recommend having the 3.5mm jack coming out? was thinking of the cubby hole underneath the headunit

Keep the cubby hole in place, the bit below the AC unit, is curved, and it has two holes (not visible from normal seating) pull it out, and the cable can fit between the hole when the cover is replaced, easier if you go have a look for yourself rather then trying to explain it on here.. It will make sense when its infront of you.
