Ok, what did bill map use on one he done?
He used a 4bar FPR afaik but with a inline fuel pump, he also recommend 440cc or 550cc on 3bar fpr.

Superb thread. The attn to detail on your car is phenominal. I have really enjoyed reading this . Although I'm having to go right through to the conservatory to retrieve some of the info as it is just flying right over my head lol However as said, excellent read, you must be proud of you achievements so far and a happy owner of a quality automobile. keep up the exceptional work!!
Looking GOOD!!
here some photos of mine for comparison
not the best photos.
When you planning to get it all fitted?
From the pictures, the casting on that mani looks alot better, smoother, is it coated? I didn't think JBS has a K04 mani out yet.
The guy that specialises in 1.8t is off on holiday, it will be 3 week before he can start work, still this gives me some time to find someone that can map this for me, i think a trip to the UK might be on the cards for this.!
its not coated, think this is so the heat can get out and keep the exhaust temps down.
it comes out in a few weeks but i have a early production one to try on my car with the vvt map. hopefully get it fitted next weekend. then jbs are going to tweek the map.
It must be killing you looking at all them parts, waiting for it to be fitted. i kn ow i couldnt do it.
looking good mate, i should have my engine back next week and hopefully gerbox with diff fitted the week after and hopefully manifold will be there too
Thats a great looking mani Mr Smith. Did 034 supply the gasket and turbo bolts as part of the mani price or did you buy them as extras.
Your leaving yourself open to this not being covered by warranty if your not following manufacturers instructions.Hmmm, i was advised to coat mine to prevent against cracking if high egt's are reached, i didn't get it coated in the end so we will see if indeed it does crack.

LOLI am not even sure if this part is covered by warranty, i must check, but they put this to me as a recommended option, by using the word option they leave themselves open.
Also it was only a recommendation, like the way i recommend you should give me all your money
LOL
Fair doo's
These pieces are known to crack, not saying this one from 034 will.
I would arm myself with as much protection as possible.
The cost to remove, replace and refit this piece will be WAY more that getting it initially coated.
It's yours so your call, I would call it differently, but this is only a recommendation
