Meh ;) Got everything cheap dont you worry!

Im ashamed ! Vrs is now way going to look better than your ibiza , Thats like comparing angelina jolie to susan boyle.. Big mistake!

haha not a chance your puuting me off, being truely honest mate i will never be able to match the looks of the ibiza. im wanting a change, never know i might test drive it and hate it which may push me into an FR but nope, my hearts quite set on one now. and your just being biased because you own an FR :p , give me time i will make a nice example of whatever i buy.

Ok so here we go.. Got home to see this in my yard ( SMILE ) ;)
IphonePictures6720.jpg

Then straight away un packed it ...
IphonePictures6721.jpg
IphonePictures6722.jpg

Now onto the grill's .. First i drilled holes in each honeycomb ..
IphonePictures6723.jpg

At this point it looked a right mess!
IphonePictures6724.jpg

4 hours later.. Still not finished! another 2 hours to go atleast!
IphonePictures6725.jpg

Then chopped the bumper itself up.. There was 2 stripes under the plate that would of gone down as you can see in pic one.. Chopped them so no one can see through the grill :)

Waiting for my new sheet of carbon to come through and will do that before i send it into paint !

Shpuldnt it be painted before you stick stuff on it?

And Scott, two traits of a homo. Diesel and 5 doors. You can get away with just one of them, but both together and mated to a skoda badge, it's badtimes :p

Its getting tape over the vinyl after i wrap it , otherwise since i cant pop the grill out it will be too dificult .. Thats my thinking anyway..

I tryed telling scott this but nope.. He wants to be a grandad ... Every girl he drives past is gona drop their skirts for him in that beast ;)

Thanks mate .. Its hard work !

Cant you paint the bumper as-is (minus the grille and vinyl)

Then vinyl over the paint, then pop the grille in?

If you put the vinyl on before paint you'll never be able to take it off because there's no paint under it? Or do you want to laquer over it? That would be my only reason... would make it look more "part of the bumper" if you get me.

The plan was too laquer over mate.. But hey mabey it was a bad idea? I never plan of takeing the carbon off so hey ho? Could be a bad idea though?

'pop the grille in' hmm not really all seat plastic parts are an arse you end up slipping easily I'd put them in so they can tape it up and spray it as is I could not remove my big bottom grille on the facelift bumper I snapped a clip so gave up (I was removing it to put screw in that holds it on but managed to do it with great difficulty with it on and very long screwdriver!) In fact sod it get the body shop to fit it all if they break it they pay mine came painted!

thats what i was thinking. id let it get painted first them stick it over.

plus lacquer over the fake carbon vinyl ruins it and just makes it look black apparently

Im not sure guys.. the bodyshop was going to remove / refit my bumpers so i kinda planned to have it all done by then if im honest... I've never tried putting laquer on the carbon tbh! Was just thinking how hard this grill looks to ''pop'' in and out..

i would paint the full bumper white and the add the carbon then pop the grills in, thanks for the positive messages gents, i feel low enough as it is seeing my little red number just sat there. but hey i dare to be different, theres plenty of young guys n girls out there with vrs's and some very tidy ones at tht, i dont follow what the crowd say and look at what i achieved with the little ibiza by being my own person ;) , end of the day, who is paying for it? now leave it at that, not interested in negative opinions. :D . Theres more to life than ibizas haha ;)
