LCR Bumpers on a TDI

 any ideas on fitting LCR bumpers on standard MY04 tdi Leon?

As i can see it i see there being a few options and a few potential problems

options

full LCR bumpers and side skirts all round
LCR front and rear bumpers (no side skirts)
LCR front and LCupra rear bumper

Problems

need different fittings for bumpers ( will they fit or will there be panel gaps?)
fogs may not fit.
LCR rear bumper zorst cut out is in wrong place

I guess that i am the first person who has been here. what are peoples opinions and experiences?

By the way has anyone read the seatcupra.net write up in Golf+ itt is wicked[B)] [B)] [B)]

-just guide profiles and a few other bits and bobs, you also need all the grills etc. they fit perfectly, no difference.

fogs may not fit.

-your fog lights will not fit the LCR bumper. you have 2 options, sell the fogs to another leon owner, (they fit all other leons) and spend the money on beer (my route) OR spend the money towards the LCR fogs (about 125 for the pair i think)

LCR rear bumper zorst cut out is in wrong place
-Correct, its a couple of inches further over. you could get an LCR zorst, but i got the MY03 rear bumper. No problem with the Zorst, and i prefer the look of it anyway. (is your TDI a cupra / FR? if so, will have this bumper?!)

Side skirts are easy to fit, and finish the look off nicely IMO. i think the before and after pics of my car in the other thread (also see photo section for more pics) speak a thousand words :)

Nice one, could you help me out with part numbers and rough prices you paid? I see you are in Hampshire, same here, are there any good Seat meets round here?

I'm having problem with my lcr covering up my left part on my 1.6 exhaust, will a lcr back box fit and work on my 1.6?

Any other suggestions?

Hi, I have a Leon 2.0 Fsi (2008) and am planning on replacing both Bumpers with that of a LC...anyone knows if it will fit without having to change the Fogs etc?
My car is by panel-beaters after an accident so I need to know this asap before they order the original Leon Bumper please help.

i sorted mine.

Took a coping saw to the rear bumper and just cut out around the exhaust pipe that was covered up, keep cutting more and more away until i had cut enough.

once it was right i took a dremel to it and cleaned up the edge of the cut. mine get some exhaust trim that you can put on to tidy it up some more, but seems alright, looks fine to me, plus it will be less noticeable when lowered.

If you already have the facelift cupra bumpers, the guides are the same. You will only need bumpers ;)
