whistle on acceleration

hi all..

when i am accellerating and the revs are going up i am getting a load whistle noise comeing from the engine bay could this be a turbo pipe split or if anybody else has had this problem it would be a great help..

Dint have a vid you can post for him so he can see if it's the same I seem to remember you thread lol I got some vids to compare there's every chance it's just been there th hole time but now it louder like I said mine whistles like a bitch and I love it

Sounds like either turbo whistle or if u have a boost leak it can cause a whistle sorta like a party horn when under load.

If u can log the boost, requested vs actual and do a search for diy boost leak tester, failing that go out and give boost hose clamps ad quick tighten.

I say it's one of the larger boost hoses, only because it's happened me before.

Fair comment robbie. I only say that as I found 4 splits In my pcv set up. All removed now and my car runs the best it ever has

That will only show a vac leak and not a boost leak under high load, I had a leak recently that did not show up until 1.4bar of boost.

Get it leak tested, end of.

Thank for that. My gauge is on about 20-22 on idle but can go to about 27 when im moving but have no throttle applied, Does that sound normal.

Yes loss of boost. Whistling noise on boost and bad idle. All gone gone now
