You misread my friend. Could be the way I've written it.

P-Torque have had many good reviews, and I've struggled to find any negatives from those who have experience with them. When I was at the RR day I had a good chat with Will and they're local to me as well being only 20minutes away so any problems I could have can be sorted quickly.

Logs and MAF Flow, to be honest I don't know what are good figures and what aren't. I'm more interested in how it performs on the track than on rollers. People have asked me what power I want from the car after all this work, I've said typically as close to 300bhp as possible and over 300lb ft but in reality I don't know what to expect. As long as the delivery is improved and accelaration is better I dont mind :)
I wasn't trying to challange your decision, merely see how you had come about your decision.
Every company will have their haters, P Torque have theirs too.
Being close to you is a very good reason to choose a mapper.
Would be interested in seeing what logs you get during logging and how your turbo performs higher up the rev range.

No worries :)

As for the logs, I've not got Vagcom so would have to ask P-Torque for logs. The Liquid Gauge can't log I don't think? Never tried really, only ever used the real time info.

+1 for P-Torque. ;)

Cheers bud.

Cheers George.

I was going to order them this week but forgot to take the measurements of the clips on the engine already so I know which ones to replace. I'll wait until Saturday and get some heavy duty clips from Bodgit and Quibble. I'm worried that during the mapping some Hoses may part company with the engine and we'll then be stuck.

Try Chris at Tech Hose in hereford Ape, I use him for work bits but he gave me a good price on my all stainless Mikalor clamps. 01432 270466. Make sure you ask for Chris Northmore and not Kris in accounts

Will do matey. Completely forgot to be honest :(

Had the car remapped today :D

The ECU had to be removed because of a Revo Trial Map that was on it previously removed some of the memory banks required to enable mapping. Once this was done and dusted a few runs on the Rolling Road and a bit of tweaking saw the Leon reach 285bhp and 318lb ft which I'm happy with especially as the ambient temperature was in the low 30's today.

The acceleration is a little savage now  I was grinning from ear to ear all the way home, just hoping the roads dry out a bit so I can have a go tonight. Spinning up well into 4th Gear on a damp road doesn't make for fun driving

Massive thanks to Will @ Performance Torque who did the work, highly recommended :D

Nice that mate, very nice.

I'm tempted to P-torque mainly due to the price for the map really, seems too good to be true but with the reviews seems a good bet.
