Ok fair enough. What sensors did it blow and how did you solve the problem?

Looking good mate, quite like the skirts back-to-front - although will it cause problems if you need to jack the car up ?

Body shop did the same with mine, they soon took them off and refitted properly!

They didnt fit properly next to the wheel arches (the brackets) so told them to fit it properly this time and they did, now fits like a glove

Next on the list for mods, is a custom straight through exhaust (in favour for back box) at 2.5" to mate my millteck down pipe.

Hello Peeps, sorry to hijack the thread but i need some advice.
I want to get my altea FR TDI 170 mapped and have the dpf removed, by reading all you guys threads/experience it seems a good mod, so i rang up JBS and had a chat with them and booked it in for a week saturday 7/8/10. My car has been mapped by P-Torque to 205/337, and thought i'd give him a bell just to see if he did DPF-Delete's, he said he could remove it and map my car but the power gains would be minimal and that tuners are overstating the gains, and a group of mk5 GT TDI 170 owners had there cars rr and found the highest output was 214bhp and that the mod isnt worth it!!! so now i'm confused and dont know what to do, has anyone on here had a remap before the DPF-Delete and what was the diffrence, and have you guys had Dynos on diffrent rr and had good results ,and will i notice a diffrence from what i already have.

Your advice and comments would be apppreciated, and BIGG addicted try Carbotek XP8 brake pads as a mod, these were the best upgrade i did to my beloved Mitsu Colt CZT (247Bhp/270ft was most powerful in uk, had to go for bigger car) the stopping power is indescribable.

Hey mate, yeh i had an angel tuning stage 1 map which made 202 and 321 ft lbs of torque, there is defo a clear difference, for me the power band was broadened throttle response was so much higher and the car revved a lot faster with noticeably more torque and pace, and also a nice sound from the down pipe, i'm gonna get mine RR'd again just after i fit my custom straight through back section, but it's defo a big difference, the only thing i find sometimes apart from an occasional stutter, is if ragging it and change from 4th at 95-100 to 6th i get a slight friction feeling as if the fly wheel is going to fast, it doesn't struggle to go in, just need to be gentle lol

I get the friction feel already, perhaps it just the gearbox's, i've already got a custom ss catback straight through zaust witn no backbox and a small middle box(sounds same as before except at low rev's where it's deeeep), as no one makes a altea zaust.
so the power gains are worth £733 in your opinion, and which map mild or wild as you can't try before you buy:p

I don't see the point if you can't guarantee the car is going to perform everytime you need it too?...

Just a little update. After going round in circles with the idea of painting the callipers i decided to do it. I followed the same way as i had previously with my previous Ibiza fr and went for yellow.
Got the idea a few years ago after first seeing the ferrari california and liked the contrast :)
I gues it's just a personal preference as i guess there will always be some that don't like the idea.
Here's a few pics of what turned out to be a 3 hour job on my last day off to my gf's dismay!
A couple include her just before we went out as she was wanting some attention after getting nowt all day!!
:p

Pictures aren't great as they are off my camera phone, hope to get new ones with my proper camera soon :)
