Re: Volkswagen Passat Estate TDI Sport - Revo'd and with Plans....

No I think the whole camo thing has been done to death. Time to return to
Something classic. I am thinking of a VW original colour from an 80's dub hot hatch.

Not sure what though.....

Edit: any chance of getting me a pic of the black alloy in the boot mate, so I have an idea of what it looks like please

Perhaps black vinyl roof, black Mirrors and black wheels....although did the whole black thing to death on my last car and I want to design a different look this time round

Should suit it well, pastel colour maybe?

Hmmmm has to be a classic colour but a colour that suits a modern car...

The big question is now what to do with them

I cleaned the car the other day, and to be honest, I think just keeping the wheels in a simple and standard form will suit it best

no loud colours as then the car looks "modified" which is not the look I want to achieve. Just subtle tweeks. Centre caps are being replaced with carbon fibre ones and a small VW symbol offset to the side

I think I am just going to get them refurbed in a high silver (slightly sparkly so its reflective in the light) and thats it

The wheels are already in a very good condition. Very pleased with the buy

If anyone is a whizz with PS, I would appreciated a few ideas please

Thanks

Audi fat 5s look the nuts mate , you got coil overs ? I think defo a bright silver with metalic in them , I would say polished would look spot on but I don't think it's the look your going for ? As with the roof how about satin/ matt black vinyl , or anthrecite (sp) wheels roof and mirrors

good ideas Dan

no coil overs yet, it will just be springs on the car to lower it 30mm max. Coilovers as nice as they look will just ruin the comfort of my car which is a daily driver

I kind of want to achieve a modified look, but dont, if that makes sense. As in subtle styling

vinyl roof is still out for the jury

White mirrors, white vinyl roof and white pearlescent wheels? lol bang goes the OEM look

seriously though I think the wheels will just be refurbed in a high silver. The bay will be the part of the car which looks highly modified

subtle car for the world's least subtle person ;)

Hush you!

Forgot to say these wheels will only be for shows and meets and will be in storage the rest of the time to keep them in mint condition. The standard wheels will be on the rest of the time

Bright silver is winning over at the moment. These won't be done for a while, prob not till jan/feb 2011 as got the lights and engine bay to focus on first. Which will also have a full set of carbon parts but only to come out for shows and run standard gear the rest of the time

Not sure the bay can be done in time for E38, as funds are going towards the machine polish on the 1st Aug
